We just got back from a week at HHI. it was a good week. We had room 2811. Everything was in order with the room, we had 2 bulbs to burn out during our stay, but they were replaced and I do not count that as a negative mark on a room report. We also had the most quiet neighbors above us that we ever had. Never did we hear stomps or bangs. Thank you to whoever was in 2821. (I am sorry if we made lots of noise, I am sure everyone could hear our 14 month old)
We did not do any tour, because we were not sure how the weather would fair. The news kept reporting bad weather for each day, but it turned out nice except for Monday.
One thing that I would have liked is that they kept Fishin Pole on Tues. It is now on Sat. at 2:00. This will keep most point stays from seeing this. My little boy enjoys the puppets and B'lou, and that is the only thing he can do right now.
Funny Bunny hunt was rained out. There was a quick Shadows tales in BMD instead. Can you believe that I forgot my camera and only had the camera/phone. It takes not so great pics. there were only 4 kids in there to see shadow, so Colin had lots of fun patting and pulling on Shadow.
The Childerns Place at Tanger One had really good deals 1-3 dollars for summer clothes. (Got some for next year)
We ate at San Miguels, Alexanders, Guiseppies, Old Oyster Factory, HH Brewery, Pasta Garden (take out), Blufton Dinner, HH Dinner, Salty Dog, Signals, Tide Me Over, Jump and Phils.
We took my parents down with us for a grandparents day
week. We had not yet told them that we are expecting again.
We had the front desk, put on the tv to say Happy Grandparents day, Love Colin and baby brother or sister. I guess that there was not enough room, so it ended up saying ......Colin and siblings.
It took my parents a few seconds to figure that out. They were excited. The front desk sent my parents a card and ballons. It meant alot to them.
One quick note, We wondered if we could use our mugs from our April '04 trip this past week, but we bought new mugs instead, just to be on the safe side. Anyway, the resort TV channel advertises the mugs and stated the Refil mugs can be purchased during this stay and used for the remainder of 2004. ( I saw this after I bought my new ones) I took this to mean that your mug is good for all 2004 not just your trip. So I asked at Signals, and they said as long as it says 2004 on the mug it is still good. I know there has been some debate on the mugs before, I don't know what other DVC resort policys are, but at HHI it is good for the year.
