disneyandme, the GF if great. This was our first time there. It was a little crowded at the GF Cafe and that may be because of Gasparillas being closed. They are reopening Nov 1st. We never encountered any CM that was grouchy or unhelpful. We really couldn't complain about anyone. Some were more outgoing than others though. We had a great CM at checkin (Cyndi) and said since we had a garden view we had our choice of garden, pool or marina view. When I told her my DH loved boats she gave us a great room overlooking the marina. We also looked out on the lake and could watch the monorails going by. If you leaned out and looked right we could see the castle and also the fireworks. We were in Conch Key.
momoftwogirls, yep the combo fridge/mini bars are in the rooms.
Here are a few more things:
Coffee is in the lobby of each lodge from 6:30-8:00 am. Most mornings it was there by 6:15. It's not the greatest coffee but free is nice!
The health club is free to guests.
Turndown service takes place every night. It was nice if you used your towels for showers after a day at the pool they were replaced at turndown. They leave a nice little card with quotes from Disney movies and 2 mints on each bed. On the days we were there before they came in for turndown we left a tip. Sometimes we were out at the parks and never made it back in time to leave a tip.
A little off the resort subject:
We had dinner at O'hana with PS for 6:40. The CM told us that we had to be seated within 15 minutes of our PS time. We didn't know that. Don't know if that is something new or we were just out of touch on that one.
We had a FABULOUS dinner at California Grill. You now have to check in on the 2nd floor and then you are escorted up to the restaurant. The food was great and the service superb. If you go, ask to sit in Gary's section. He was the best!!
Rent a water mouse, it's fun!
Anything else you may want to know, just ask.
