Kona Cafe - breakfast was great here, one of the best on property, particularly the macadamia-pineapple pancakes (delish!); tonga toast good but sugary. Kona coffee presspot a treat and counted as a beverage for *1* on the dining plan! Service excellent on 3 dining occasions. At lunch food was so/so...overcooked, but edible.

'Ohana - We only did the character breakfast, and it was just OK. Service friendly but not very attentive, food mediocre, character interaction fair. Wait for a table despite having an ADR was inexcusable. Don't book here unless you're planning to make a morning of it.

1900 Park Fare - We did the breakfast buffet. A nice array of options, food very fresh, service good. The only characters we cared about (Pooh and Tigger) made it to our table twice...but if we were dying to see Alice or the Mad Hatter, we would have been disappointed, 'cause they never made it over. My 3YO deemed Mary Poppins a "very nice lady." :)

The Wave - we had breakfast here. Food and service both excellent. A limited menu but everything we had was very tasty. And my kid loved the multigrain Mickey waffles! Had a little trouble finding it because no one seems to know where it is...answer, near the front desk on the lowest level.

Le Cellier - Is it worth the hype? It's sure not worth the snotty hostess who lectured us for being 20 minutes late. But they did get us in, so it's all good. Our waitress was pleasant but inattentive. The filet with mushroom risotto was excellent, and so was the famous cheddar soup. Desserts (chocolate mousse and maple creme brulee) good but nothing outstanding. On balance, definitely one of our better dinners.

Tutto Italia - we actually did a late lunch here which pretty much counted as a dinner. With the Brown Derby, one of the very best restaurants we did. Food, service, atmosphere, all outstanding. In fact, service SO good we called the manager over to tell him so. I had chicken rollatini, delish, husband had lasagna, ditto, kid had pasta with meatballs, very yum, and the berry/zabaglione dessert was outstanding. Profiteroles also quite yummy. Big thumbs up.

Liberty Tree Tavern - did a lunch, it was fair. VERY slow service, food reasonably good. Nice location.

Planet Hollywood at DTD - Food was OK, but the preposterously loud music made enjoyment of our meals impossible. Like, you had to shout to be heard by the person next to you. Shout IN THEIR EAR, that is. Does ANYone enjoy that??

Hollywood Brown Derby - Standout service, great eats. Salmon here was better than at Artist Point, where it's a featured item. Grapefruit cake a real treat, as was flourless chocolate cake. Sadly the park atmosphere (folks in sweats, lots of noise) takes away from the otherwise upscale atmosphere.

Artist Point - Biggest disappointment of our trip. Steak ordered medium came out very rare, when sent back, it returned medium rare (at best). Salmon was OK but nothing to write home about. Server comped this entire meal, but mgr never came over. Annoying! Lots of time wasted too, and no dessert because we had to get to MNSSHP. Cheese plate app was quite nice.

Sci-Fi Dine-In - I was worried due to mixed reviews, but we actually found this quite nice. The atmosphere is really fun, and the food (turkey club and a burger) was good. Service was very efficient if not terribly friendly. Desserts quite yummy.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - A fun place to take a large group (we had 7), but not recommended otherwise. Food was fair to poor (especially the leathery ribeye I was served) except for the trout, which was tasty. Desserts skimpy and nothing great (cheesecake, pecan pie). Service slow, but we weren't in a hurry.

Coral Reef - Great atmosphere, excellent service, food just OK. Portions small and nothing was terribly memorable. I would choose another epcot restaurant on future trips.

Tusker House - Absolutely the best pick on property for vegetarian eats, though some items had meat broth (best to inquire). A nice variety of the unusual and tasty with a number of items for the less adventurous as well. We weren't bowled over by the dessert selection, but were so stuffed by that time it didn't really matter. Server in left field, but that seemed to be an anomaly, other tables had friendly and efficient service. A great pick.

Spirit of Aloha - Bleah. You definitely shouldn't come here for the food. Ribs were pretty good, chicken fair, bread dry, salad OK. Chocolate volcano dessert nothing special. However, show very entertaining for the whole family, and included house wines not bad. Gratuity is included, which was a good thing for our inattentive server.

THANK YOU BOARDOM!!!!:flower3:

You're welcome! We had a great time and some great eats. The other thing I wanted to mention, there wasn't always a wide array of choices, but I was pleased that we had no problem finding healthy picks on the kids' menus. I had visions of chicken fingers every day, and I think he only got those one meal. :)

great reviews.

i couldn't agree more about Coral Reef and what a shame about the food since it has such protential, its a great location.

Artist Point also a real disapointment - from all the reviews we expected it to be so much better than it was, food was okay - service one of the worst we've had at the parks.

Ate at Whispering Canyons in Sept. - we used to love this place, but another let down, cancelled our table on November 30th.

Hate the noise level at Planet Hollywood - went there once and will not go back. I hear the new T-Rex is also really loud but have to give it a try at least once.

Sorry your experience at LeCellar started off so bad, have eaten there many times and always great friendly service and good food - we're booked in March

Haven't been to the Sci-Fi in years, really need to give that another try. Only hear good things about the Brown Derby but always seem to forget about that place when booking ADR's. We are trying the WAVE in March another place i keep hearing good things about.

thanks again

Agree about Whispering Canyon Cafe...we thought the food horrible when there last month--way overrated. Won't be back.

Yeah, WCC and Coral Reef were particularly disappointing because they had the potential to be really fun, memorable meals, but didn't measure up. Artist Point on the other hand I would have to write off as a hopeless case. :rotfl: Le Cellier I would definitely return to - the meal was great, and the snippy hostess the only real sour note.

Enjoyed reading your reviews, thanks for sharing!

Fun-to-read and succinct reviews. Thanks for posting them. :)

I'd have been very annoyed at the hostess lecturing too. It's vacation, not the time you show up for work.
