n October of 2009 we didn't notice a lot of gum around the walls of the attractions, and now there is so much of it on the walls of Indiana Jones, (the que) and other rides, and even PotC had some gum plastered on the walls. Ugh. I don't mind the pennies in the wooden railing gate at Indiana Jones, but putting filthy and germy gum is horrible.
We did have a great time at the parks, though the night before last our son dreamed that his sister was on a ride that broke down; the next day, his maliboomer, the stomache harness that snaps into place malfunctioned and he was screaming that it wasn't on anymore.... the lady heard him,and I am pretty sure she would have caught it anyway but it was scary as I was on the other side and we all had to unlatch and re-latch the entire seats. Still, super fun ride!
Line-ups were easily tolerable, but fastpass is what saved us, since it was more crowded on the weekend. We still didn't get to go on TSMM or Peter Pan, but oh well. It wasn't nearly as crowded as it had been back in October but the section by Indiana Jones sure does get crowded.
Bengal BBQ was great, really glad we got to try it!!
We got to meet Oscar and he signed his loaded baked potato soup recipe for us and we took his photo, too. Awesome man, I think he would have loads of stories to tell, he was there since 1954 I think he said. (It was one year after the park opened, whenever that was...) ?
We had a ***terrfic*** stay at Hojo's,
rooms were very clean and well maintained. We were able to get connecting rooms as we requested, top floor, Disney view. Very nice fridge/microwave/in-room safe, TV was nice and clear too. Beds - Oh MY - they were all so comfortable!!!!!! I had bought a bottle of Lysol cleaner (disinfectant) to spray on all door handles, etc. when we arrived, in case the family who stayed in our room prior to us had been ill; so I sanitized all door knobs, toilet flush handles, etc. and then left the spray. Hopefully Lorealle will just let staff know that I did NOT leave it behind as a hint, because our rooms were spotless! I only used it once when we got there, just as a precaution in case the room doesnt get disinfected on the doorknobs etc. when a guest leaves. I didn't want the lysol spray cleaner to leak in my luggage so hopefully someone gets some use out of it. We loved the internet service, using out pocket router worked well with their system to give us a secure wireless connection. The views from the 7th floor are nicer now with the trees trimmed down, you can really notice it. Check in and check out was super easy. Mimi's was great, too!!
Annual pass holders (deluxe) still have a 10% discount on store purchases over $10. Hojo gift shop also provides a discount of 10% (not on alcoholic beverages.)
We didn't find Daisy the cat near the White Water Snacks, we looked for her everywhere!!

The duck by the castle with one lef - anyone know if she is healthy and a regular?? She looked ok but only had one leg.
The person sitting at the bus station on Harbor BLVD really worried us; they wore a turban, and were there every single time we walked by all week; does anyone know why they would choose to sit there, as opposed to a less busy area? I didn't think it's that nice of a place to spend your days, and the kids were all worried for this person.
