Just back from DL (8/20-8/23)

We had a great trip...the crowds were pretty large but, we were able to do most everything that we wanted to do with little waiting/and or with strategic fast pass collecting.

Fantasmic: We lucked out our first night--they added a third showing at 11:30 pm that we just happened to come upon while walking back from Splash Mtn. We just sat down in front of the river and the show started within 5 minutes!! I've never been able to see the show without spending at least 2 hours pre-show to secure up-close seating.

We stayed at Candy Cane Inn--what a great place to stay! Loved the proximity to DL and the excellent shuttle service. The rooms were very clean and I noticed that the beds were even better than the last time we stayed there. The pool was never overly crowded (unlike DLH last summer). Definitely will look at booking again for our upcoming trip in October--they gave us a $10 coupon for a future visit.

Even though it was crowded, we had good luck eating at most restaurants with little waiting and plenty of choices for tables...

Can't wait to go back in October!

Sounds good! Glad to hear the good report on CCI. I think I've decided we will give that place a try next trip (probably not until next summer. ) My sister stayed there recently too and like it.
