Decided to skip Magic Kingdom today due to vetran's Day and go to MGM studios nstead! This is my favourite park! First off we did the Tower of Terror and took DD on for thefirst time ever. She was already a bit wary but it didn't help that we had a gaggle of pre-teen girls sitting behind us screaming even before it started!
I like the new way it works... you have random drops instead of the bringing you up for two drops that you are prepared for. DD handled it well but had that "what's happening? look on her face! Picture of course, didn't work out and DF didn't want to try it again:mad:
Then we went and saw Indy show for the first time. It was good but crowded and people were ignoring the Disabled seating area at the back and sitting wherever they pleased. the nice CM guy finally found us some seats and though a little loud for her, DD seemed to enjoy it.
Did Star Tours for the first time too! We enjoyed it but again Ryleigh kept a close eye on the robot who flies the craft! We were too close to it for her liking!
Had lunch for Ryleigh's birthday at 50's Prime Time Cafe and it was great. We had Brother Mickey as our server and he gave DD a magical moment certificate as well as he had passed around a card for all the other guests in our section to sign. So we have this great b-day card to put in her memory box from all these people around the USA wishing her a great 7th b-day! If fact, she was upset when i told her we were leaving and she started crying, Brother Mickey was surprised as that had never happened before. The manager offered to get us into meet Bear in the Big blue house but since DD is terrified of the costumed characters too close, we passed... even though Bear IS HER FAVOURITE!!!!! :(
DD started to lose it and was really tired.. so we stayed for the Stars and Motor Cars Parade.. which again was new for us. I really enjoyed it as did DF and DD. All those decorated cars are do well done with the themes!!!
After the parade we let to go back to the hotel for a swim and a rest! The pool was good for us as it was zero-entry and we were able to bring her wheelchair right to the edge of the water! She however has discovered HOT TUBBING and loves it! Might be another future investment at our place :p
That evening, we decided to graze through dinner at the Wine and Food festival... ate at Australia, New Zealand and had fish and chips in the UK! Let before Illuminations and headed back to the hotel.

Part 4- Magic Kingdom Visit, Gifts of a lifetime, Cinderella's Royal Feast

I love MGM, too. I'm so glad your daughter enjoyed her time, there!

The hot tub is my DD's idea of perfect swimming pool temperature, too.
