We stayed at CSR from 06/26/04 to 07/03/04.
We checked checked in around 8:30 pm. It ends up that somehow CSR never got our reservation from CRO, so we had to wait around quite a while for the front desk CM to load us up into the system. She was very polite and helpful.
During our wait, we went to the Pepper Market to eat dinner, as we were starving. We went with the Asian dishes while DD had pasta. The egg rolls were a big hit, but at $2.50 a pop, our bill ended coming to $80, including one refillable mug. DH swore we would not go back due to the price, but then again, he was not looking at the prices when he ordered the food in the first place.
But we were happy with the choices and the actual food.
Once we finally got checked in, we were given Casita 3, 4th floor. I had asked for Cabanas, but knowing it was only a "request", I took the Casitas without complaint (I had heard so many nice things about them anyway). Well, our "standard" view had a wonderful view of the lake! Just gorgeous!
There were conventions going on, so a few people in business clothes, but there was a dance competition as well as a martial arts US Open while we were there. The kids had fun seeing all the different Martial Arts weapons.
The only down side to the Casitas was the trek in the hot afternoon sun to the Dig Site. After doing that once, the kids decided the quiet pool was just fine. DS was not thrilled with the water slide at the Dig Site. (He got spoiled with Storm Along Bay at YC)
Overall, we were VERY pleased with our stay & would not hesitate to go back.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
