DH had business in Orlando, so I tagged along without the kids :D .We moved over to Coronado Springs and stayed past his conference date for some R and R:cool: ! We requested King bed, non smoking, upper floor, cabana and paid for a standard room. We got ALL that and an upgrade to lake view:teeth:. we were in Cabana 8B. We really enjoyed it. Ate at the Pepper Market(loved the wet burrito :p ), enjoyed the dig. So very little crowds this week. We almost had DTD to ourselves at times. This was a resort, shopping, eating, and doing the things we never get to do trip! Even rode the monorial for kicks! Did NOT even do a theme park. Had the best time, ate wonderful things.
Noticed that the Ranchos were pretty deserted. I think they only had one building open(6?). We thought our location was absolutely perfect. Oh, mobs of security were around our building when we returned from exploring Wide World of Sports. Disney security and county police were there with a K-9 unit(about 7 vehicles). We talked to a security guy and he said they were just being cautious and it turned out to be nothing  ! Glad they are being cautious I suppose! We liked CSR as much as PO/Riverside and was a great place to go without our kids:D !

Thanks for the review of CSR. My husband and I are booked to stay there for the first time this coming Feb. We have requested the Casitas to be close to the main building and the health club.

The Casitas looked very nice! It is a wonderful place, enjoy it!
We had never had a king room in a moderate since the kids always go. I don't know if it is just CSR but the bathroom was normal tub, but MUCH more space(for handicapped). This made the room a little smaller, but I liked the bathroom space more! The door also slide into the wall. Not sure if this is a king room thing or a CSR thing. PO and WL do not do this. DH enjoyed the coffee in the room, nice bonus. I had a GREAT Frozen Margarita while relaxing at the dig.:p Never got to enjoy that with the children around;)!

Your room was probably a handicapped designated room. We had a king bed at CSR and it was a regular room.;)

Yes, it was handicapped. The only thing you noticed were the bars by the tub and also a regular and lower peephole. I guess the sliding door is a handicapped thing? Anyway, we really liked the bathroom setup, so much more room! Not cramped like our regular room at PO!;)
