Just got back from a 7 day stay at CSR. We had a great time and these are the places we ate on the DP:

MaMa Melrose
Garden Grill
Teppanyaki
Rainforest (AK)
Planet Hollywood
Hoop Dee Doo
Liberty Tree Tavern
O'Hana
WHispering Canyon Cafe

Cosmic Rays
Pepper Market
Flame Tree BBQ

If anyone has any questions please ask them. We give CSR a :thumbsup2 and we have decided to change our stay in Dec/Jan to CSR.

thanks so much for telling us about your restauarants. How was planet hollywood in AK.......I would like to go there on our next trip

Planet Hollywood is in DTD and it was great. I had read so many bad reviews before our trip that I almost cancelled our ressies. DH and I both had Cheeseburgers and fries that were great and DS (7) had spaghetti and meatballs which he said was good. Our service was very fast.

Rainforest is in AK and it was one of our favorite meals. Our waitress name was Tina and she was outstanding.

I would say if you are thinking of trying either of these 2 go for it, they were both great with great environments.

Hello. We have a 7 night stay booked for July at CSR. How did you like the hotel? Anything you especially liked/disliked? Would you stay there again? Whatever you can share would be great.

We made our adrs for our october trip a few weeks ago and one of them is for whispering canyon cafe. We will be two families traveling with kids aged 5mos., 2yr, 3yr, 4.5yr., and a 6yr old not to mention two VERY outgoing and mischievious husbands. How was the food?? The service?? The interaction of the wait staff?? I hope to hear all about it!!!!!!!

How did you like Whispering Canyon and Ohana? :)

We loved Whispering Canyon. The food was great. We had to skillet and we enjoyed all of it. We also had the Never Ending Milkshakes. By the end we were to full for dessert. DS loved the environment.

O'Hana was also nice. We had a view of the castle at MK. We loved the chicken wings and shrimp before the main meal. The scalloped potatos are wonderful. DS had a blast with the coconut races, hula dancing, and limbo. I think this was one of his favorite places. DH and I were not crazy about any of the meat. It was very dry and not much flavor. The dessert was to die for though. We would probably do this one again just because DS had so much fun there and the view was great.

:thumbsup2 CSR is great. We loved the hotel. It is such a beautiful place and so relaxing. We plan to change our December trip from AS to CSR. The whole family loved it. We stayed in Casitas 3, room 3266 and the view of the lake was great. We ate at the Pepper Market 2 times and really liked it.
DS loved the dig site with the water slide and DH and I liked the big hot tub. Everyone that worked there was really nice. The only disappointment we had was DS was really looking forward to getting a towel animal from Mousekeeping. We were there 7 days and he never got one-however, they did decorate the room with things he had bougjht at the parks. CSR is a great choice. We rented a boat and went on the lake-I would recommend if you want to do this to do it at DTD. There is not much room on the lake at CSR, DS got bored fast.

The skillet was absolutely wonderful as well as the milkshakes. I think the bigger your party the more fun you will have. Our waitress was not that into it, however, a couple around us were a hoot. It was our last day and we were tired. I think the more you promote interaction the more you get. DS loved the stick horse race and he got a wooden nickel from them. He has carried that thing around and showed everyone.

The other food around us looked really good also. We definitely will go back.

I, DD-7 yrs & DS 5yrs stayed at CSR in December. We had such good luck with the Disney Buses. Did you? Ours was the stop closest to the lobby. It seemed as soon as we boarded it wasn't 10 minutes and we were at any of the parks. I also liked that when you left MK, CSR bus stop was one of the first. :thumbsup2

We stayed there last week and returned Sunday and loved it as well. My biggest suggestion is to request Cabana 9B - if you can get it it is well worth it. We were on the 2nd floor and when you came down the steps, the bridge to the right was a 1 minute walk to the dig site and the bridge to the left was a 30 secend walk to the bus stop and 1 minute to El Centro.

One of the first? CSR busses only go to CSR and don't share a route with other resorts.

I think she must mean one of the closest to MK in the long line of buses. What did you all get as a dessert at PM? Have they changed it from the cookie or muffin?

That would make sense. #10 bus stop at MK is the closest. :)

We were not on the DP (I was there for a conference) and I never had a desert so I can't help you there.

Sorry for the confusion :confused3
That is what I meant that the stop was the closest to the gates and since we spent most of our time at MK, it worked out great! :)

Buses were great. Most the time we waited less than 10 minutes for a bus. Many times we were the only ones on the bus. We tried to change to there is December/January and it looks like they are booked.

We were able to get several things for dessert. I know there was some pie. We had a fruit bowl that counted as a dessert.
