Day 1. We were scheduled to stay at FQ but were moved to CBR(taken care of by time we arrived but never notifed by Disney). We traveled with four families. Three of us met up on the first night, ate at the food court and went swimming. The rooms were a little bright, but the resort is very kid friendly and we had five small ones with us. We stayed in building 26 Martinque. I must say if they had stuck us in Trinidad South, I might have been mad, it is quite a hike for small children.

Day 2 (Sunday Nov 4)

Epcot

Arrived in six minutes by bus. After 15 minutes to get through security, went right to Test Track. No fastpass and already a 45 minute wait. Our gang decided to wait and rode the ride.
After that we pretty much did not have any more than a ten minute wait for any rides. Bill Nye the Science Guy broke down when we went the first time, but we walked on it an hour later. We all agreed this was great, no crowds a great day and all had a wonderfel first day of Disney.

Day 3 (Monday, Nov 5)

MGM

Everyone went on the first bus except myself. They called me from the park and told me they were waiting in line for TOT and fastpassed ROR for 10:00. I decided to try to catch a bus around 9:30, they left at 8:30. The bus never arrived for 40 minutes. Then when I got there there were only a few security guards and a huge line to get in. We had walkie talkies so I contacted one family but ran into my family at Great Movie Ride(waited about 25 minutes) I must say this park was extremly crowded, could barely walk over near Star Tours, but I have never seen as many characters in my six trips to Disney. They come out right in front of the hat at various times. This was a pretty good day except for some of the waits.

Day 4 (Tuesday, Nov 6)

Magic Kingdom

Once again I stayed behind. What a mistake. When I arrived at the park there was a long line to get in due to security(Which I agree with, but maybe they should have more people checking bags) The park was very crowded, but we did not wait for anything more than 15 minutes. This is my favorite park and we had a very nice day. The new parade is very nice.
Ate at Crystal Palace and my friends son was picked for chef of the day. All of the kids and adults had our pictures taken with all of the Pooh characters so that was nice. The bus trip was very short again.

Day 5 Wednesday (November 7)

Down day. Did laundry, swam all day, rented water mice and just relaxed. It was a very nice day.

Day 6 Thursday (November 8)

Animal Kingdom

Went with everyone to AK. The first bus was full so we took the second bus. It took about 15 minutes to get there. Waited until 9:20 to get through security. We did fastpass for the Safari, went to Bugs Life, got right on the safari after that. A giraffe came right up to us. Also a Rhino. The kids loved it. Returned to the resort, swam and went to MGM to ride RNR and TOT one last time. Lines at 3:30 were 45 minutes so we rode RNR 2 times and went to Fantasmic.

DAY 7

Magic Kingdom

CROWDED. All of Main Street was full. We went at 2:00 in the afternoon after a morning swim. Waited for family to go on Splash Mountain for over an hour. We fastpassed Big Thunder Mountain and then headed over to the castle for the 4:45 show. It is really cute.
After the show, went to find seats for Spectromagic. Could not believe the number of people already seated for the parade. Found seats for the 10 of us at the beginning of the route. Got right on a bus and back to the hotel by 7:00.

What a great time you all had. Even with the crowds, your wait times were great. Thanks for posting!

When they switch over from breakfast to lunch, a child is picked to be the chef of the day. They get a cake shaped like Mickey Mouse, frosting and little candies to decorate with all of the characters. Then all of them pose with the family. We had four families with us and 5 children so they let them all participate and we all had our picture taken with the Pooh characters. They gave the little boy a chef hat and a certificate to bring home.

Nice trip report! Thanks for taking the time to post it here. :)

What a great trip. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

We currently have ressies for CBR ( Jamaica ) for our honeymoon, and according to the boards CBR has been recently refurbished. We would like to know if you could decribe the room you stayed in at CBR, such as the wall colors, furniture colors, etc.

We are concerned because prior to the renovation, the pictures we saw indicated that the rooms had furniture made of a light wood, which we loved. However, we just saw pictures of a room at Barbados off another web site. The furniture looked like it was green, which didn't exactly appeal to us. We know each resort has a different exterior, but do ALL the room interiors at CBR look the same? Any info or pictures you could provide would be of great help to us... Thank you !!

I do not know if all of the rooms are the same. Our building was in Martinuque 26. The bedspreads and curtains were a lime green with flowers. The rug was green with ferns on it. The boarder was a mint green with fish. We did not think it matched so we asked our maid if the rooms were refurbished and she said everything was new. The table was a light wood but the entertainment center was mint green. The beds were the natural color. The walls were a sand color. They are very bright at first but you get used to them. The resort is very nice and the beaches are really pretty in the AM. At night, you can see the fireworks form Illuminations(not all of them but some and from Fantasmic) Our kids really liked that. Jamacia looked like a nice place to stay. We have stayed at Riverside before and would go back to CBR again. Congratulations on your wedding. Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.

My husband and I were just at CBR, Jamaica 46 in Oct (9 through 19th) for OUR honeymoon. We stayed in a King room. It was exactly as described in the previous post. I liked it. The curtains and bedspread had hidden mickey's on them. We did not like the long walk to Old Port Royale at night after a long day in the park, though. I guess it wasn't THAT long from Jamaica 46, but it seemed like it some times. We had purchased refillable mugs and sometimes were just too tired to get our free refills at night. (They were still worth the money for us, though, since we were there so long).

One afternoon while we were there we took a short nap on one of the hammocks on the beach...it was wonderful.

I'm hope you have a wonderful time. We sure did.

(You know, we didn't see a single Parrot on Parrot Cay!!!)
