First, has anyone else noticed that wonderful smell when the doors slide open to BCV? I don't know if it's fresh paint or floor wax or what, but I noticed it and every time I walked thru those doors all week, I stopped, took a deep breath and smiled.
My room was #422, a lock-off, non-smoking studio, with a beautiful view-
Of course, when we had a storm coming in (only one day), things looked a little different
The room had a beautiful view of Illuminations, although the porch was very small-great for a solo, but a family of 3 or 4 would really be crowded watching Illuminations, which was straight ahead.
Although the room was in a perfect location-great view of Illuminations;I loved seeing the Eifel Tower; it was very convenient to the laundry room (just a few steps away), unfortunately, the room looked pretty "worn". The door below the sink didn't close fully, the rug was stained in spots, the coffee table was badly knicked and scratched, the dust ruffle was very grimy, the couch had stains and ground in dirt.
When I talked to the head of maintenance, he wrote all these things down and I told him that what really bothered me was the fact that WL recently refurbished their rooms and we bought an armoire. Our armoire, which had been changed out of WL, was in much better condition than anything in the room at BCV. I later noticed that the couches in the BC lobby look pretty grimy with ground in dirt already, too. It's kind of sad, really. However, is BCV still my favorite resort? Definitely! Would I want room #422 again? I thought it had the best view I've had, I loved it!
Oh, and gelato IS a snack credit!
Hope you don't mind all these photos-I recently learned how to do the photobucket thing, and I'm like a kid with a new toy. I'll be happy to answer any questions.
