Just back from BCV room 278

Aloha! Just bumping up???

In case disneymom is still unpacking...

Anyone else have info about the canal view???

It's time for us to make our ressies and requests!!!!:Pinkbounc

Mahalo!

Mai Ku Tiki... The pool view goes in the front of the whole resort, so it extends from the entrance all the way to the end with the parking lot. The pool view/ canel view is at the end with the parking lot. The parking lot is off to the right, I don't beleive it detracts from the view at all.

Even though you didn't ask, I will give you my favorite, which is the Epcot / Spaceship Earth / Illuminations View / canel view. (The canel goes under the resort, so it is in the front and in that case it is also a pool view, and it is in the back where it is an Epcot view.

Aloha!!

I notice you're going with 21 PEOPLE next year! Would you even notice if the 3 of us stowed away???;)

We are recently back from BCV too! We stayed in 328 & 330. It was a HA 2 Bdrm. Great location overlooking the quiet pool. We also attended Member days July 1st. I thought it was great!

Free Pins and DVC lanyards Hooray. Also I was the one who won the boat ride on the Mahogany! We had a blast but we brought down our own snacks and didn't eat.

I know I'm going to get grilled for this but I don't see what everyone finds so appealling about SAB. I'm very glad to have stayed there it is a fantastic resort but my family (children included) ages 11 & 6 were very happy just to hang at the quiet pool instead.

I did one day take my BIL over to Luna Park. He thought that was amazing.

Sorry I missed other Dis'ers as I forgot my Lime Greens.

Sorry I haven't responded to questions over the last few days. I guess I've been in the zone so to speak (or just moping around because my disney vacation is over and I won't be going back for 2 years!:( )

The quiet pool/canal view was extremely quiet. No road noise at all. We had a view of the parking lot, but it was not a problem at all. I had originally requested an Epcot view, but none were available when we arrived. As it turned out, room 278 was just fine. Very short walk to the quiet pool. We were at the very end of the hall and heard absolutley no noise in the hallway.

The member's BBQ was really no big deal. They did some trivia for door prizes and gave out DVC lanyards and a variety of pins. We did not eat at the BBQ. We figured, if they were going to charge us, we could just head right back up to our room at eat. Maybe it was just me, but I really didn't expect to be charged for a Member's event. I figured I pay enough already. Goofy and Donald were at the BBQ, which was nice because Donald is usually hard to find at the parks unless you go to his character breakfast.

Overall BCV was very nice and we had a wonderful vacation. Next time, we will stay at VWL for the first time and see how we like that resort. One day, maybe we'll get to our home resort at HH!:D

Thanks Gayle!

I can relate to your 'zoning' issues...

Someone on these boards once referred to it as:

****Post-PARKum Depression***** ;)

Says it all, doesn't it ??? :)

Anyway...let's have fun planning the next one (at least with DVC we KNOW we'll get HOME again eventually!!):Pinkbounc :bounce:
