Well, what a magical trip :thumbsup2 ! This was our first trip "home" as owners (we rented points last year) and it felt so great to be back. It's a long way from CA, but we survived the plane flight. DME worked great, gardengrocer delivered our groceries, and our 5th floor BCV 2 bedroom lock-off was fantastic! We moved to VWL after 4 nights and were sad to leave, but everything was moved over without a problem and our VWL villa was really cozy and warm.

The weather in Orlando was cold and we had to bundle up in all of our long-sleeves and sweatshirts. It was unusually cold and we couldn't use the pools much. Still, no rain, and the crowds weren't awful until Turkey Day, which is what we expected. Saw "Wishes" for the first time (twice) and loved it!

Now that I'm home, I can't wait to go back. Sigh, I think I need more points....

So glad that you had a wonderful trip and safe travel home! My two favorite resorts. :welcome: Home!

I wish I were back at WDW!

It's funny, but when the CMs hear that we are from CA, they smile and say, "Did you know that there is a Disneyland in CA?," teasing us about making the trek to FL ;) . WDW is such a different experience, we love it there. We also love DL a lot. Both are special to us  !

where are you from in Cali? We are from fresno, and have to sy the plane rides are getting longer and longer. That is probably because we have a new kid every year it seems like when we go. Flying with a three year old and nine month old is definitely a strategic event. I'm glad you had fun.

We're from the Bay Area. There is a nonstop out of SFO which is a good flight (still lands at 10pm though). Coming home, we flew MCO-DEN-SJC, with a nearly 4-hour layover in DEN. Not fun at all! That second flight was very hard on our two kids. Yes, traveling with children is a challenge!

We did have a great time. Now I'm trying to figure out when to go back in 2008... :sunny:

Glad to hear you had a good trip, Denise. Those fireplaces at the lodge probably felt pretty good with the temperature drop last week. ;)
