We stayed for four nights at the Fairfield Anaheim. We did three and a half days at the parks and then moved on to San Diego and did three parks there. We did the photopass plus at DL and really liked it! If anyone has any questions that I might be able to answer, ask away!

Did you go to CL? I'd like to know how you found the lines at CL. Or any other info about it. I'm trying to formulate my plan for July. ;)

On wednesday my dh got us fp for RSR and we waited for 32 minutes in the FP line to ride it. It was great!! We didn't do any other rides in Carsland, but it was really busy there! On our DCA morning we wlked on TSMM twice in a row and DL was dead every morning!

Ahhh...I am getting the feeling that while CL will be pretty congested, this will lessen the wait times for other rides. This could turn out to be a good thing! ;)

Our return time was between 5:30 and 6:30. I was amazed at how quiet the Soarin/TSMM areas and Disneyland were in the mornings. Everyone was either in Carsland or in line for a RSR FP!

Since it is so busy right now when will it settle down and get back to somewhat normal crowd levels again at DL & DCA?

Also, with the back of CL built right near the Candy Cane Inn is that a problem for guests of that motel with noise from rides or tourists in DCA?

TIA :goodvibes

How were the lines for using the photopass plus? Like, getting the ride photos added to the card, standing in line in general for photopass things....etc.

The waits for photo pass photographers wasn't bad. We didn't see as many photographers as usual, but we ended up with quite a few pics. We did two rides where we added ride photos and it was really easy. Your photo pass card is on a lanyard which makes it really easy to access. And our Minnie's breakfast pics were great!

We stayed at CCI during construstion and never had a problem with noise. Haven't been there yet this year but I'm not worried about it because 1) We don't sleep in. 2)We are zonked when we go to bed at night. 3)We always bring a sound machine when we stay at any hotel anywhere. It makes a rain sound and we don't hear the other stuff. :cloud9:

What did you do in San Diego? We are going for 5 days and plan to go to the Zoo, Wild Animal Park, USS Midway, and we have reserved a bike tour in La Jolla. Any other suggestions?

not the OP, but you could spend an afternoon in Old Town, do a little shopping, look at the old buildings and eat at one of their Mexican restaurants.

We did the zoo, Seaworld, and Legoland. We had the Go SanDiego card. We got a great deal on them on Costco's website for about $40 off! We also went to three different beaches. You have to check out the Children's Pool at La Jolla beach! We saw tons of seals swimming in the water and sun bathing on the rocks! Coronado beach was really nice too!

The Fairfield Inn is our fall back hotel if the Disneyland Hotel does not offer any discounts for fall, what did you think of the room? the walking distance? (we have a 8 and 9 year old who have always been troopers about walking) the pool? and the coffee/snack area?? Thanks in advance for the info!!:goodvibes

We really like the Fairfield! It's a short five minute walk. The pool/hot tub area was nice. The room was big enough for our family of four. They have an area on floor three that as breakfast sandwiches and pizza hut.

How was the traffic driving to San Diego?

We have a similar trip in mind next year, but I am worried about making DH drive in big city CA.
