Just back from AKL - we got towel animals

Just returned from 3 nights at AKL. We received two nice towel animals. One was a small creature made from two wash clothes and the other was a big monkee hung from a coat hanger off the balcony..and it even had a toilet paper tail. so cute. any other questions??

Lucky you! We stayed for eight nights in May and did not get one single towel animal. I'm not complaining though, since mousekeeping did arrange our daughters' stuffed animals in fun situations almost everyday.

I'm sure others would be interested, but just wondering if you received an upgrade at check-in? And how did you enjoy the resort?

We enjoyed the resort, we had a standard savannah view, and were not upgraded, we had asked for bunk beds but couldnt get those either, still had a nice room, and geat view, but it was a long walk to the main resort area.

We were there Monday-Wednesday, earlier in the week, and we got no towels (which is something we loved when we went on the Disney cruise)

But our room was ready when we checked in, shortly after 10 AM, and we got our requested bunk beds! And we were close, getting to the pool, to dining, and checking out all of the great animals, not a long walk at all.
