We just did 8 days at AKL and BCCL with our 16 month old ds and 6 year old dd. Did hoop de doo, CRT, fantasmic, chef Mickeys, cape may and all the parks. Loved all the shows. Did Bug's life even though I thought it might be to scary, both kids loved it! I startled more than they did. Please let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them.

So what were your overall impressions of the AKL?? Did you like it? Was it a pain to get to the parks, or did it feel too 'remote'?

We will be staying there for the first time in September. :teeth:

So I just typed a really lengthy reply and my :badpc: just erased it!!!

So here I go again.... We loved the AKL, but our toddler kept trying to climb up the bunkbeds and for our family it felt cramped. We stayed at POR 2 years ago with just our dd and the room felt very spacious, so I think it was just the baby that made the room feel so small. As far as transportation goes I think that you are a long commute from at least 1 or more park no matter which resort you stay at so I try not to factor commute times in when I pick where we are staying. With that being said I loved being a 5 minute walk to Epcot when we were at the BC but I hated the long bus rides everywhere else. Also we were only at the AKL 2 days and did not really use the transportation while we were there.

My dd did love the pool and the slide at AKL and we got to watch them feed some of the aniamals. They also had a lot of fun activities for the kids and the cafateria there is wonderful. Hope this info helps
