Hi! We just returned from 9 nights at Pop Century. We had a GREAT time, great weather, crowds were higher than we expected, but we managed just fine.

While I loved some of the new ammenities offered at Pop Century (over the All-Stars), I'm not sure if this resort was really for me or not. We were stuck out in the 90's, and it was FAR from the main building, and I didn't care for the icons and stuff they chose for the 90's. I think if I could guarantee a room in the 50's, 60's or 70's, I'd definately go back!!

Any questions I can answer, though, please let me know!!

Glad to hear you had fun. I got voted down by the boys for our trip - I wanted Pop - they wanted All Star Sports. Thanks for the post!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip. I am concerned about the distance between the 90's buildings and the main food court building. We didn't request any building and I am now having seconds thought about doing so. We have three small children and a huge walk back and forth to the food court won't be to their liking!! Any other advice/tips you can give us??

Cya There!!

Hi Girlsx2! We had requested the 50's when I originally made the reservation, but I didn't follow up at the end and make sure the request was there. When we checked in, they had no record of the request. I'm not sure that it would have made any difference, frankly, because the place was packed out. It was January 2nd when we checked in, and the place was still full from Christmas. We also checked in around 8 at night, which I'm sure doesn't help your chances of getting moved if your not happy with what you get. Anyway, when I saw on the map where the 90's was, I asked for something else and they had nothing. They were very nice about it though!

The problem with the way the resort is set up is that nothing is really that far from the main building as the CROW FLIES, if you know what I mean. But to make the walk short from the 90's to the main building, you have to walk through the parking lot, or at least adjacent to the parking lot. But I am one of those people that really likes being immersed in the "disney" - I don't want to see parking lots!! So to walk through the resort and enjoy it, we had to walk down the length of the 90's building, through the 2 80's buildings, around the bend by the lake, through the 70's buildings (which are hard to negotiate with a stroller because of the fusball game), past the pop jets and then you reached the main building. It was just too far for my liking.

Do you know if this walk is comparable to the walk at Coronado Springs? I thought that resort was very spread out.

Where can I find a map of the Pop Century Resort -- which buildings are "preferred"?

The 60's are the preferred buildings - and I would pay the $10 a night next time to guarantee a spot in the 60's. I've never been to Coronado springs, so I can't say if it compares to the walk there.
