...and all I can say is WOW! :thumbsup2

We also had the dining plan so we did not spend much money on food. But even so, our savings from our first trip using the DDE was $59.23...just about the cost of the card. This basically came from 1 counter service meal we bought my niece before she had her dining credits, 1 meal DH and I paid OOP at ESPN, a few drinks(juice/milk) and breakfast items at PC's foot court, and drinks at various lounges for 3 adults.

This year alone I will use it for a 4 night solo trip and an 8 night trip for our family of 4. I will also use it for at least 1, possibly 2 trips next year. From my experience I would say it is definitely worth getting if you can.

When I have more time I will post dining reviews and the break down of how we used the plan and what we spent/saved.

That card is great value - one time we used it at Jiko's for a full dinner for 8 people - talk about paying for itself!

Cheers

We have had the DDE since last November and have used it on 3 different trips. On this last trip (we came back a week ago), we saved about $60 for 2 of us. We used it for lunch at Rose and Crown and for dinner at Flying Fish, 50's Prime Time Cafe and Narcoosee's. The savings with the DDE basically pays for the tip ( you just have to remember to leave the tip on the amount BEFORE the discount). Over the 3 trips, it has paid for itself at least twice, if not close to 3 times. It's great!

Is the DDE taken on all meals?? Im going to be getting one for my trip in Dec and i have alot of evening ADR's?

How many people can you get a discount for? Im going to be getting one and so is Dfiance - We have AP's so we get the first for $60 and then the second for $25 right??

We got the DDE for our trip in May (and will use it again in Dec). Like you, we also had the dining plan. We did the CRT breakfast OOP with our party of 7 and had already broke even on the DDE card! DH and I also did a date-night (just the 2 of us) at Citricos for which we paid OOP. Add to that the savings on the adult beverages and the DDE was worth it for just one trip and we still have another one in which to use it. It's a great deal!

Here's some more info and a list of the participating restaurants:

We've had similar experiences with DDE Katie!! I had one for last year, and saved around $250 for that year. It expired at the end of May, but I let it go. Just bought the new one, should expire in Sept '07...had to get a new one for Oct since I already booked HDDR 9:30 show using it, and if I didn't have a current one, they would charge me full price when I show up. So, I paid $60 for a new card, and saved $40 already, just for HDDR tickets. I'll be using the DDP in Oct, but since I have more TS meals planned than I have DDP credits for, I'll use my DDE card...same for those all important 'adult' beverages. I love having the ability to use both...DDP and DDE!!!
