We got back on Wed from our trip. A few thoughts below.

WWoHP was magical as always. We got to do a few things that we haven't in the past which was nice (kids actually went into Bourgin and Burkes). There are a few things that someday we'll do like listen to the ministry of magic message in the phone booth. Didn't have a chance this trip. DD8 was chosen for the Ollivander show. DD10 was the one who wanted to do it and negotiated with us to get another wand so we were hoping she would get chosen. Nope. Oh well, it is the way of things. DD8 had the robes on and a splint on her wrist so that's probably why she got attention.

DH and DS went on Fast and Furious. I read somewhere here that 5 year old boys like it. Since my DS6 loves the Jimmy Fallon ride, we thought, well maybe. DH took him and they both hated it. Bad, bad. Waste of time, said DH.

Did I mention my kids love Jimmy Fallon? Six times in 4 park days. I think I know it by eart (h's are eh!). Thankfully I don't dislike it.

We had good meals at Jake's, Confisco, Mythos, and Toothsome. My favorite was the grilled cheese in the tomato soup at Mythos. That was fun. My DD10 declared that Universal restaurants have much better presentation then Disney. :joker:

The Holiday parade was beautiful. We saw the Christmas projection show twice at Hogsmeade. The later shows are still the way to go. Much less crowded. The last one was right at park close and we could pick our spot for that one. Afterward we hung around for half an hour doing spells and checking out the windows which was awesome. We left before the sweep started. The next night in Diagon Alley they started pushing people out 15 mins after close though. So your ability to hang around seems to be a bit variable.

They have started having more regular crafts and games for kids at the pool at RPR which was nice. Our kids won smoothies from Bula. The woman doing the activities was really nice too.

Weather was great. No one got sick. Thanks everyone here for answering questions. It's so helpful even though we've been before.

Glad you had such a good trip........sounds like a lot of fun........

I’m glad someone likes Jimmy Fallon.....lol........we don’t hear a lot of love for that ride! Yes, F&F is a weird one......when we went on it twice, both times we had small boys of around 6 claim rather loud.....it was awesome!!!

Not for us either........

Nice report......

Thanks.

Yep. My son single handedly makes up for a lot of JF dislike. He's not going to help with F&F though. DH calls it Loud and Obnoxious. After the parade we went to DA to eat dinner and were worried because there was a sea of people headed that direction. DH joked they were all going to F&F. Shockingly a lot of people did turn off there.

PrincessWithABlaster so nice to hear you and your family had a great trip.

Sounds like your restaurant choices were great too. I will have to give the tomato soup and grilled cheese a try sometime at Mytho’s.

I agree with your daughter. Universal has nice restaurant options and the food is appealing and very good.

Thank you for sharing your report :flower1:

We just got back also. I did not say anything about fast and furious beforehand, EVERYBODY hated it and we had a nine yr old.

My son said it was the worst ride he has ever been on.

Yep. DH called it a waste. Too bad. With the popularity of that franchise they could have built a ride with big draw. Oh well.

We lucked out on the restaurants. Previously I haven't been so impressed with Mythos (kids love it) but we had a really good meal this time. Service was timely too which had been my issue in the past.

Hi thanks for posting a report. I am glad you had a nice trip and it sounds like you got to do a lot you wanted. I agree with the Jimmy Fallon ride two of us really enjoy it and ride it a few times. The other two like it but not as much!

F&F was the biggest disappointment in a ride for us. I can't believe that Universal would put a ride out like that. We love the movie franchise and couldn't wait to ride it. Oh well I hope they get the next one right.

We really enjoy Toothsome when we are there. We haven't made it to Mythos yet. How nice one of your daughters was chosen for the show. Mine never were but that didn't stop them from getting wands on two trips.

We enjoy B&B one of teens and Brian like the dark stuff.

I am glad that you had good weather. For me weather is so important as I get older :teeth:. We always enjoyed the pool activities when the teens were younger, now they aren't as interested. Now Brian can hula hoop awesome and has won many drink prizes there:D.

These boards are so great with getting help. It's always nice to hear that you had a nice vacation. :goodvibes
