We got back last night from 10 great nights at CBR. We left home (Huntersville, NC) around 3:30 pm on Thursday (10/2). We arrived at the Customs House for check-in at 11:58 PM. We were the only ones checking in at that time and we had a very nice CM assist us with our check-in. We were celebrating our 16th Anniversary on the 3rd, so she gave us Happy Anniversary buttons. I had requested a 2nd floor in Martinique (we booked a standard view) and we were given what we requested (building 21). Upon arrival to our room we were pleasantly surprised it was a corner room. The room was great - very clean and roomy and my daughter loved the Nemo theme. We had a lovely courtyard view. The next day after returning to our room we had Happy Anniversary balloons and an autographed picture of Shane & Mulan waiting for us. Mousekeeping was great the entire week. No towel animals, but I didn't care as long as the room was clean and it was kept spotless. We only rode the bus twice as we drove the rest of the time. On Friday (10/3) we walked to the bus stop and an MK bus pulled up just as we walked up. It picked up at 2 more stops and then we were on our way. It took 15 minutes to arrive at the MK - not bad! We left the MK around 2:00 that afternoon and a CBR bus was waiting at the stop there so we had no wait and only one other family on the bus. The 2nd trip on the bus was to HS on Friday (10/10). This time we waited for 15 minutes for the bus and it also picked up at 2 other stops and was standing room only. We again left the studios around 2:30 and a CBR bus pulled up just as we arrived at the stop so no waiting. I thought the food court had a good selection of food and it seemed pretty efficiently run. The new pool area was great. My daughter loved the play area and the slides at the main pool. I retreated to the Cold Spa several times and it was always usually just me sitting in it. We walked around the entire resort our last night there and I must say that I don't think there's a bad location in the entire resort. I found the grounds to be lush and tropical and it definitely made you feel like you were away from it all. Please no flames, but I actually preferred CBR over our stay at POFQ last year. Our room was so much cleaner at CBR than POFQ and that's a major issue with me. I know POFQ is compact and many people like that aspect, but I find it to make the resort "seem" more crowded and that you're on top of everyone. The fact that CBR is only 2-story buildings and is sprawled out made for a much quieter and more peaceful trip for us. I don't mind walking a bit to the food court as walking around the lake was so pretty and serene. We didn't hear any noise from our neighbors except the occasional door slam and running water. Overall it was a wonderful, relaxing escape from reality and I would definitely stay at CBR and recommend it. Now back to reality: back to work, piles of laundry, Wachovia/Wells Fargo (my DH works at Wachovia so we're not too sure what his future holds), global macro economics, etc, etc. I want to go back to WDW and get away from it all! Thanks for reading - I'll try to post some pictures later.
