Hey all, we just returned from a 10 day trip to the World. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have!
My kiddos are 7, 5 and 2, so I can tell you what they liked/didn't like.

We stayed at ASMu.

Participated in free dining and ate at: Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Sci-fi, Plaza, Earl of Sandwich, Goofy's Candy, Rainforest Cafe, San Angel Inn and Askershus (Princess Storybook).

Used Magical Express and Disney transportation. We also went to Sea World using Orlando public transportation.

Got my DD's first haircut at the Barber shop...had the diver and menu at CR...particpated in the Jedi Training Academy, caught the cool Nerf balls at Block Party Bash, used guest services to check in to Southwest for the return trip....and we booked Bounceback for next September! probably other things too....if you're wondering - just ask!

We are going next week with kids age 7 and 6. what did they not like to ride.
I was hoping to go on some "bigger rides" this time like test track and how
scary is the everest (sp?) ride. What was the jedi acadamey you did. I have
a boy who loves star wars. Thanks!!

My 7 and 5 year old both went on Test Track, Soarin', BTMRR and Splash Mountain. We didn't even suggest Space Mountain because you can't sit next to them. They both enjoyed all of them. My scary cat 7 year old convinced my brave 5 year old not to go on Everest, but my DH went on it and said it was quick and cool. I think that for their ages, it would be a little scary, but it really is a super quick ride, so it would be over in a flash.

The Jedi Academy is set up on a little stage right outside the Star Tours ride. It looks like a door and stage from the Death Star. A "jedi" comes out and speaks to the crowd and then picks abour 15 or so kids from the crowd to be jedi trainee's. They give each kid a plastic "training lightsaber" and attempt to teach them a few moves. Then Darth Vader and a couple of stormtroopers come out! Each child gets to try their newly learned moves on Darth Vader. It's hilarious! They were running 5 shows a day during our trip (usually during the hours of 11 to 5) and the shows last about 20 minutes. If you have a big Star Wars fan, who won't be intimidated by a large, towering and speaking Darth Vader you should try to get him into the show! If you think he'd be scared, just let him watch - it's just as cool! (Oh, and BTW, the Star Tours ride is super easy...nothing scary and for the little Star Wars fan, it's pretty fun.)

Have a great trip!!:goodvibes

Thanks Neesy228. These were the rides we were going to try. We went
on Big Thunder Mountain 21 months ago and they both loved it. We could not do Splash Mountain for it was closed when we where there. Space Mountain I
think would scare them due to the dark and did not think about your point of
not sitting next to them. Thanks for the information on the Jedi training-we will look into it and I am sure they will love it! I do not know about getting up on stage but we will see!! Being a Jedi at home is not the same as up on stage!!
Seems like you had a great time and I already could not go to sleep the last
2 night and got the kids all excited too! So I need to tone it down for one
more week so we can get up for school!!
