Thank you for the great post, Kata!! I am checking in to the Poly on Wednesday and also requested a new room - keeping my fingers crossed! I am also considering going to the F&W festival next year and was considering an EPCOT resort for the convenience, but I think you have swayed me otherwise - time to check out AKL or WL!!! I agree with you on the transport issue - I, too, think Deluxe resorts should have their own transportation to and from the parks, water parks, DTD, etc.

My DH dosen't even open up the luggage until I look around the room. He jokes that we have never actually stayed in a room we were assigned. But he is wrong....I LOVED my Poly Tokelau (the standard view that's really lagoon view!) and my upgrade at the WL to courtyard view. For some people the room doesn't matter - but it does to me. I am never rude or nasty to anyone but if I don't like my room I do ask to be changed. Disney gets top dollar for those rooms and in MHO they should add to the magical experience.

Great reports, thank you! Several years ago we split our stay between the WL and BWI. While we didn't have any smell or mold issues at the BWI, I was so mad that we had left the WL because the BWI did not impress me.(and we paid a lot more for the room!)

Thanks for the great replies and words of support about my being picky about getting a decent room.I traveled solo and spent alot of money to enjoy the WDW resorts and I am sorry but I refuse to accept an inferior room at deluxe rates.Those of you staying at the Poly are in for a treat,I hope you get a new room and the WL doesn't have a fridge in every room that is what they told me but they will bring you one at no charge.
