NO WAY were we staying so we headed to epcot came back around 3 line still backed up to tarzan rocks asked CM how long of a wait and he said 2 1/2 to 3 hrs heck no so headed back for dinner at epcot... hubbie got up first thing today (sunday) was at AK by8:30 took over 30 minutes to just get through the line into teh park then by time he got to EE was a 2 hr wait he managed to get fast passes so headed back to get me said since he had teh passes I may as well ride too.. ( i had already decided that I would just wait and head over sometime after it opens in the morning and ride it when there would be no wait) it juts was not worth it... Well we try on last time and even with the fast pass it was gonna be a long wait the line to even get to it was over the bridge again.... so.. so much for us riding it not too disappointed we enjoy teh couple time without the kids and will j ust head ober after it opens and get on when there is not so much hype.. i got lost in your thread!Did you ride it or not???

sorry i am a rambeler and always typing on the fly with a kid hanging on teh leg and another getting into trouble... nope we did not ride it... way to crowded we can just go back when it opens, herd it was awesome though.... feel bad for so many who came as it was really really crowded at AK epcot was dead had a blast there....

For those of us not up on current events, please explain what EE is. In my mind, EE is early entry which is from the old days, lol. I know EE isn't called that any more. Neither do most now refer to making PS's but some other initials for dining. Next trip isn't til 2007 so I haven't kept up like I should.

Expidetion Everest.

The newest Disney coaster located in Animal Kingdom. Tons of posts about it on this site.

EE = Expedition Everest - newest ride at AK. EE was always early entry to me too. PS is now ADR - I still have to remind myself of that when reading threads. I guess changing the initials keeps things fresh and new - not.

How did your husband get more than one fastpass if you weren't in the park? :confused3

That's too bad.But it looks like you live close to WDW so you'll be able to make it over there again. :earsboy:

A friend of mine that works at WDW got to ride Everest last Sun,at the CM previews. He waited almost 3 hrs.He said the trains broke down a couple times while he was in line.I'm hoping they get all those bugs worked out really soon!

i figured this board was about disney and that how i phrased my question and how something was spelled or lack of punctuation was less important than giving my reflection, opinion, advice etc..
not sure how he got fast passes to both he must have put my ticket in the fast pass slot, and out came a fast pass.. or maybe he told the CM he was gonna go ahead and get one for me too since he had to come back and he showed my pass which he had and they gave him one, .... still have them in our pocket.. should have given them up to someone else was not thinking.......

It is about Disney, and not your spelling or punctuation.. Those posts were just rude, and you should ignore them--just as they have the option of skipping over any posts they find grammatically unappealing. :thumbsup2

Sorry you didn't get to ride EE, though. :)

Thanks, I am also sorry we did not get to ride it i had some friends who drove over friday and had no problem getting on.. we were talking to some folks who flew in from new jersey just to ride EE WOW! This should be a great addition to AK

Our last park day of our recent 10-day trip was last Thursday, the first day of the EE preview. We were in AK at 8:50 and they promptly dropped the rope at 9. We were riding EE by 9:50. We went back at 2:30 with our fastpasses and didn't even have a wait in the stand-by line, even though it said 20 mins. We walked on numerous times. I am sorry the lines were so long on the weekend. I hope you live close enough to go back sometime this year. The kids and I have AP's, but my DH does not. A DVC member waiting for the rope drop offered to let my DH go in as his guest. Wow, some people are SO thoughtful!

I rode it on Saturday. I don't think they were prepared for the crowd level! I got there about 10:30. There was a line to just get over to the ride area where you had to show your pass and a picture ID. This is the line that was backed up over the Dino-land bridge by the time I left the park after lunch. Then there was a fastpass distribution line where CM's were just handing the FP's out. I got a FP at 10:50 for 2:55! I went to the standby line and then thought about seeing if there was a single rider line! There was but you had to get a ticket! That line was about 30 mins. I rode and by the time I got off the FP's were all gone,a CM told me that the single rider line was closed because it had become too long and the standby wait was 110 mins(but with the length of that line I believe it was probable much longer). The crowd on the Dino-land bridge was all headed inward so those of us leaving had to make a small lane on the far right! This was the most crowded I have ever seen the AK! The ride, by the way, was awesome! I don't want to ruin it by giving details but I think it will be a big hit!

AK was PACKED this weekend. And I have to agree I think EVERY PASSHOLDER and DVC Member was in Animal Kingdom this weekend to ride Everest.

We had to stand in line to enter the Park and than stand in line to show you Annual Pass. Than stand in line to ride. We figured we waited about 2 hours to ride first thing yesterday morning. Which WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! It is a GREAT ride.

When we were leaving the Everest location we noticed that the line had doubled in size.

The other parks were not crowded at all. So we had a wonderful weekend.

Yay! Maybe now it won't be so hard to get onto Soarin' :p

We just got back....we were there Thursday through today specifically for EE weekend. On Friday we rode over 6 or 7 times and there was hardly any wait....today was a complete MESS! I think tons of people came in for the day. All in my party had 4 FP's each for today. There were so many people they were simply looking at your bar code and not scanning your AP's for the FP's. People were going nuts. The standby line was over 2 hours. We all got lanyards and pins although they sold out of the special passholder pin the first day. We were at guest services for renewing our passes and we heard several people express disgust that they could not buy an AP pin - HELLO - Beuller??? That is why it was a limited edition!!

Anyway - EE is AWESOME!! We rode in almost every row and I have to say I love the front row the best - you can see everything up there....we got some great shots from the top in the front row!!
