We got back earlier this afternoon and I must say I almost cancelled this "last minute" trip and am so glad I didn't....!!

We had TONS of PD!! DD got to color and make a mask with Alice!! and DH was in on it too!!! We saw Figment and Nemo....and many more all alone!!

We got a special invite to the BBB and just had a majorly grand time!!

Wow that's great :cool1: so glad you got extra Pd pixiedust: I am hoping for a whole bunch when I go in Dec ,it has really been a tough couple of years.

I'm sorry to hear that but, like I told my kids, you have to be on your best behavior to have magical things happen to you ;) .

It was truly "magical" because when my kids were actually behaving (not as often as I hoped) CM literally gave them things. Once my kids were begging for some of those polished rocks they sell and no sooner had I said "I am not buying ROCKS", when a CM came over and told them they could each take one and put it in their pocket. So not only was my authority undermined, my children are now shoplifters as well, LOL! My kids thought it was great, of course.

DS, 5, stated pin trading and was trying to collect the buses. The last one he needed was the Disney Transport bus. We came through the gift shop to go back to our room for the night and we stopped a CM to see his pins. He asked us what we were looking for, we told him, he went behind the register counter, looked through a drawer, found the bus, and didn't make DS trade for it. This was after DS's behavior was outstanding all day.

So my "empty threat" actually worked. Weird ... Maybe CMs notice good behavior and enthuastic guests and "reward" them with a little extra special treatment.

I definitely think so...why reward a whiney, pushy kid? ;)

Absolutely. When I did my college program, if there was a kid being sweet, cute and polite and the parents weren't acting like they expected something - if there was something I could do, I'd do it. Even if it was just stickers, or digging through the boxes of pins to find just what a child was looking for (or let them choose from the wider variety) like the CM you encountered did. Sometimes even just spending a few minutes to play with a kid, you could tell they loved the attention (it's not always things) It may be a little "selfish" but it feels good to do something nice for people who truly appreciate it.
