Hi all,

I got so much help from this board on my dining that I hope these reviews help someone in return. There was myself DH, DD10, DS7 and DD4.

4/15- arrival day dinner Yacht Club Galley - I was surprised by how good the food was here - I don't think I've read anything about it so we were going to go somewhere else but everything was booked so we ate here. The service was incredibly friendly, quick and all around wonderful. Our meals were delicious and we were off to a great start at Disney! Will eat here again.

4/16 lunch at Sunshine Seasons - we went here on the suggestion of so many here and it did not disappoint. The selection of food was the best of any CS we went to and all our meals were good - this location does get busy so eat lunch early! Will eat here again.
dinner - Germany - we found the buffet to be just okay but we had a great time watching the entertainment. They invite the kids to come up and dance on the dance floor and my DD4 had a blast with the umpah band. We would go here again especially with a large group - we did have a great time.

4/17 lunch at Pecos Bill - The burgers here were surprisingly good or maybe we were just starving but we all really liked them especially all the fixings. We ate here just so I could see what all the fuss was about with the fixings and as most of you said - the fixings are GREAT - the onions and mushrooms were being made fresh - the tomatoes were bright red - the lettuce was crisp - I was really impressed. We will eat here again.
dinner - Chef Mickeys - It was loud, it was busy, it was chaotic but the kids had a blast the characters were great and the food was again surprisingly good. The best however was the dessert buffet - it is incredible - so many selections we all loved it. We will come back again.

4/18 lunch at Sci-fi Diner - We did burgers again and they were good but not better than Pecos. I got the mellon instead of fries and it was very good and fresh. We loved eating in the cars and of course the kids thought it was way cool. My DD4 though did get scared by some of the movies they show and I had to leave with her early so if you have young ones some of the movie clips could be scary for them.
dinner - Yachtmans and Cape May Cafe - The kids went with their grandparents to the Cape May Cafe Clam bake - their review was that it was great food but the desserts were better at Chef Mickeys. Overall they liked Chef Mickeys better. DH and I had a nice quiet romantic dinner at Yachtmans and it was outstanding. We'll be back.

4/19 lunch at Typhoon Lagoon - run of the mill cs food although the salads and wraps were really good and fresh.
Dinner - spoodles pizza window - the pizza was good but a bit thicker than I like - our night on the Boardwalk was a lot of fun though. We saw the street entertainers, rode a surrey bike and walked around.

4/20 lunch at Pecos again - like I said we really liked it!
dinner - L'originale Alfredos - This was one of our best meals which surprised me because this restaurant gets some real mixed reviews but we really enjoyed our food, the entertainment was fun and our waiter was the absolute best we had all week. Alessandro really made our evening wonderful and the kids adored him.

4/21 lunch at Akershus Princess lunch - What an amazing experience for my DD4 - this place is AWESOME - who needs CRT? The restaurant absolutely makes you feel like you are in a castle - my DD was completely overwhelmed. We had gone to the BBB first and she was all done up like Aurora. We walked in and there is Aurora - DD was beaming. Then we walked over to our table and Snow White, Ariel, Cinderella and Belle all came by. It was a princess bonanza!!! I think I was as excited as she was to be among so much royalty. Oh ya the food - the food was actually good. The cold bar had excellent salads, cheeses and cold meats (turkey, ham, salami etc.) I ordered the pasta with chicken and it was very tasty. I HIGHLY recommend this princess experience.
dinner - Catalina Eddies - CS pizza - our least favorite meal of the trip - won't return.

4/22 Breakfast Yacht Club Galley - excellent breakfast buffet and DD4 ordered the Mickey waffels - everything was hot, fresh and very tasty. We'll be back.

That's it - any questions?

Can you tell me about the pasta. Is it spicy, garliky etc. I am debating between that and the meatballs. Last time I had the lamb and it was o.k.

The pasta was in a sauce kind of like an Alfredo sauce - not too heavy though. My DD had some too and we both liked it. Have fun - it was an incredible experience!

I'm glad you had a good time at Alfredo's. With all the mixed reviews I've read I was a little worried about my upcoming reservation.

good reviews - nice they let you substitute melon for fries at sci-fi - that's something i'm going to remember to do when we go!

Kept thinking about changing to Alfredo's on our first night but our arrival date is the very last day Alfredo's will be open, should we? I'm glad you said the service was great.

I had a real tough time making the reservations for Alfredos because it usually gets negative reviews. In the time I posted my review I read 2 bad ones - one about how bad the lasagna was - 3 of us got the lasagna and we loved it! Its different than the typical riccotta lasagna you get at most restaurants but I thought it was delicious as did the others who had it at our table. My family is from Venezuela and the lasagna reminded me of the pasticcio my mom used to make. One other person got the trio plate and was very happy with it, my DH got one of the veal plates and he ate it up and was happy as well - my sis ordered something else which I can't remember and she was happy too. So we really all did have a great time. And like I said Alessandro our waiter was the icing on the cake - he was fantastic. The last time we were there was 15 years ago and we had a fabulous time then so I wanted to give it another try and I am very happy we did. I have some great pictures from our night there and the kids are still humming the song and waving napkins around.

Great reviews thanks for sharing:goodvibes

Thanks for the reviews. We think that the Yacht Club Galley is one of the hidden dining gems at WDW, especially for breakfast. They have a fantastic buffet and it is not quite as "chaotic" as some of the character buffets.

Don't get us wrong, we love the character breakfast buffets, but even with a 7 year old DD, sometimes it is nice just to relax and eat together without worrying about a character autograph or trying to be heard over the cacophonous roar.

We love the Yacht Club Galley also and have never had a disappointing meal there. My kids always look forward to the treasure chest full of candies. I think we may give Alfredo's a try on our next trip before it closes. Thanks for posting all your reviews!!:)

Great review!

You mentioned going to Akershus Princess lunch. Was Jasmine there by any chance? That is my dd6 favorite. How long did it take at BBB for your dd?

Thanks so much:)

Thanks for the reviews. I was wondering about Akershus for dinner. If the food was good for lunch. It probably is for dinner.

Hey,I was thinking about Akershus for lunch or dinner. We already have ADR's for breakfast but it seems like alot of money for eggs and sausage and fruit.I have read that sometimes they may bring you french toast. The pasta sounds good.Did I mention that I hate eggs. But I thought my 2 dd's would eat breakfast better than lunch.

Did your kids order from the children's menu at Pecos Bills or did they order burgers? I'm looking for a kids point of view for Pecos Bills as we will have 7 kids (all 9 and under) with us on Memorial Day.
