HELLO FELLOW DVC'rs BWV TR 6/28-7/5

Well we are back in this thing called reality and WOW...do I miss the world!:sad2:

We stayed at the BWV this trip and for all of you BWV Owners out there, you have an AMAZING Resort! We did notice a few things but really minor ones. We stayed on the 5th floor, room 5085 to be exact, overlooked the side of the pool and water slide out our front door and the front of the Resort from our balcony. We did notice that the ceiling is going to need to be repaired soon it appears the roof may be allowing some moisture in and the sheet rock is swelling in place's and the light switch for the table and ceiling fan control is shorting a little and cause's a little interference with the tv both items are minor just a small maintence issue turn the fan off then back on and tv was fine, room was beautifull and very clean. for the first 4 days there appeared to be no A/C in the hallway and elevator area and was a little stuffy but maintence fixed it all too well and our last 3 days you did not dally in the hallway, was so cold we could have stored our dairy products out there,;) , was great when you returned home from a hot day at the Parks tho.
We got a little P'd off tho twice we got off the elevator and someone had left there dang room trash sitting there:sad2:, we just picked it up and took it to the "rubbish" room ourselves WOULD have LOVED to have caught that person and gave'em a what for! We do not own at BWV (we own at SSR) and I look at it as the owners are allowing us to use there "home" and as such we should respect there house and I would hope that an owner did not just leave there trash like that :confused3.
The parks were pretty crowded, as was expected this time of year, but being central Florida in summer that afternoon shower ALWAYS seemed to help us out. We would wait for it to rain, clear the park out and then wait times would go from 90 minutes to 20 minutes LOL...Oh how I love the rain all 10 minutes of it! We were actually able to ride Everest 2 times back to back and could have done it probably 4 more times due to a little rain. Same thing with EPCOT no wait times for ANYTHING now that was MAGICAL for our DS's (14 and 11).
Only had 1 CM issue this trip we were in a BW store and 3 CM's were assisting us with shipping items home when there supervisor called all 3 to the side and begin to very rudely scold them for it taking 3 of them to help 4 of us, now only 1 knew how to ship items home and she was teaching the other 2 how to do it and instead of dumb*** asking what they were doing he jumped to conclusions and made a fool of himself. I very kindly explained to all 3 of them plus a 4th CM that had heard the commotion and came over to see the ruckus was about, that I would be VERY HAPPY to speak to his Supervisor and explain to that person how very "UNDISNEY" there supervisor was and he should be placed in the unemployment aisle, and to be honest used a few other ummm how to say...well I said some very creative words to describe there boss:rolleyes1 He very promptly went back to his little office. It won't suprise me one bit if our packages do not arrive due to this "Supervisor".
We did have a couple bus issues...on Saturday 6/28 our DME bus ran the stop arm to BWV just ran right into it :lmao: ! then the next day our MK bus while sitting in traffic in front of the CR pulling into MK our bus driver collided with the bus in front of us, just drove right into the rear of the other bus. No one was injured, not that the driver asked us tho, 2nd day there 2nd accident we got a little worried to get back on the bus's but after that no other issues tho and never had to wait more the 10 minutes for a bus.

Oh and there was a little back up in the laundry, does anyone know why there is 3 washers but only 2 dryers? Created some wait times for a few ppl.

Jeez, sounds like alot of issues, sorry about that. While nothing is perfect, this seemed like one thing after another. I'd be worried about the ceiling fans shorting out with moisture in the ceiling - sounds dangerous.
I've stayed in BW almost every trip since 2000, and I've never had anything like this - at most carpets that had been cleaned and not entirely dried at first arrival - that's the biggest issue I've ever come across. Sorry you had so many, hope your vacation was awesome in spite of it all.

R you kidding? Was AWESOME....not nit picking just a little winded:) We had a great time and BWV are beautifull and the staff were extremely curteous. :thumbsup2
Just my 1st trip report and didn't know what to put in and leave out, lol

I'm glad you had a great trip! And I hope there will be many more to come! TR's can include anything and everything you want to share about your trip - like where did you dine? Anyplace stand out for you? Did you do any of the nighttime shows? I'm going down again in October and I planned for a fireworks show every night. This trip I really feel like running around the parks, usuallly we take it easy with that - but I want to spend alot of time in MK and MGM this time around!

Enjoy planning your future trips!

I am Disneypirate85's wife.....we ate 2 different times at ESPN club...was really pretty good food....we also ate at Beaches and Cream 2 times...first time was our first day there for lunch, was great food, second time was for ice cream. We just had to have the Kitchen Sink, have been wanting to get it the past 3 trips, but never could get over there to get it when we wasn't already full from a meal. We watched Illuminations one night and of course watched the 4th of July fireworks from the bridge at the BW. They were both amazing. I will try to post more as I think of things we did...and hopefully DH will put some pics on here before long. Overall it was a wonderful trip, just a few minor things, as DH said, that kind of bothered us. Would for sure stay at BWV again, we are now spoiled by the fact that everything is so close and easy to get to from there. ONLY 165 MORE DAYS UNTIL OUR CHRISTMAS TRIP AT OKW!!! Or if our waitlists come through AKL or BWV!!!
