Hi,

We just returned from our 2 park visit, to MGM and Magic Kingdom. Another wonderful April trip...our 3rd..with great weather and managable crowds. We rode RRC, three times in a row on Monday morning and also rode Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, three times on Tuesday, without waiting more than 20 minutes, and using the fast pass.
Has anyone else noticed how new all the little animals look on Splash Mountain??? Especially the blue bird?? His feathers look brand new!! We were there in July and some of the motors weren't working and things were dusty. Not any more!!!
It's a Small World, my DH's favorite, was also very beautiful.
The Castle looked fantastic all decked out in gold..but I did not care for the Cinderellabration. The show needed a villian or two, like the show it replaced.
Noodle Terrace...interesting food, my DH and I liked it, but we also missed the variety of kid friendly food they used to serve there. There was not a lot people eating and the CM's were taking opinion polls, so I wonder if the resturant is long lived.

April is great at WDW....only 360 or so days until the next one!!!!

Sounds like you had a great trip, thank you for sharing. :goodvibes

Actually, I think Splash Mountain was horrible! Understand this is one of my favorite rides in all of WDW. I love the themeing, the songs, the que, and the ride in general. I have slowly seen this ride become more deteriorated each trip. Some of the animatronics (or whatever is used) worked on one visit, but didn't on another (during the whole of this past week). The birdies that sing outside before the 1st (or 2nd) drop are barely noticeable. The jumping waters in the Laughing Place scene NEVER work anymore.
Also, I was VERY unhappy to see one of my fave hidden mickeys had disappeared as well. There used to be a mickey "bobber" at the end of the Crocs fishing line. I always look for this but this past week, on the first trip to Splash M. it wasn't there (insead the normal red and white bobber had replaced it). The good news is, it is now located right past the Croc, sitting up on the little mound.
Mind you, I think HM needs refurb as well. Out of the 9 times we rode this week, only 2 of our Doombuggies speakers' worked well. It was not fun to sit there listening to our ghost host crack in the middle of his spiel.
It's A Small World looks AMAZING! I actually really love this ride now. Very 'shiny and new' IMHO! I told DH it was my fave "new" ride now at MK! ;) To me I notice things on the ride now. The details really POP out at you.

So anyways, I wish they would show some love to Splash Mountain since it is truely in my top 5 list. :lovestruc

Oh, about Noodle Terrace. DH and I really wanted to try it out! We stopped by on our last day at MK (Friday) at around 5:30 pm only to see it was closed. A complete ghost town.

What they need to do is advertise or change the outside of the old Plaza to attract customers. I can easily see this place not lasting too long unless they get their act together!
Totally agree with you on this one heidijot!
Nice to see you enjoyed the same weather we had this past week. Never have seen it so beautiful!
