Just back and we ate at:

Mama Melrose, Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fare, Grand Floridian Cafe, Whispering Canyon, Boma, Alfredo's and Crystal Palace. Also had Pecos Bills, Flame Tree Barbeque and Tusker House.

Hi! I ordered the charred steak with gorgonzola butter over roasted red pepper polenta and asparagus. We did the fantasmic package, so we got a family style mixed green salad, a gourmet pizza, the steak entree and for dessert I got the warm chocolate truffle cake. Everything was very good and the service was excellent. :)

How'd you like Tusker House? What was good/not so good there?

What were your wait times for your TS seatings?

How did you like Le Cellier? Dh and I are going there in Oct for our anniversary dinner.

At Tusker House we only did breakfast and it was good. It's counter service but the breakfast was good and quick. For our other TS's we would check in about 20 minutes early and waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. We always ended up being seated earlier than our original time. :)

We really enjoyed Le Cellier. DH had the prime rib and I had the pork tenderloin over the sweet potato puree. DS had the cheese soup and he loved it with the pretzel bread. We had the steak kabob for an appetizer and it was very good. Didn't get dessert this time as we were packed, but last time I got the Maple creme brulee and it was so good. Le Cellier is our favorite world showcase restaurant. :)

A couple of Q's about WCC, please. :) Did you go for lunch or dinner? Was your server, as well as other servers, into the infamous antics of WCC? Thanks!

What did your DH think of the prime rib? I'm considering switching our ADR's just so I can get it :)

I am making plans for Christmas. I was considering Mama Melrose with the Fantasmic dinner package. Would you go there again?

The other thing I am debating is between Crystal Palace and 1900. Which would you choose? I've read Crystal Palace is too crowded to enjoy.

We had Jailbird Jessie. It was dinner and she was really fun. It seemed like everyone was doing antics and the kids enjoyed it. The whole restaurant did the hokey pokey. My DD liked the pony races and getting her wooden nickel and the food was pretty good. I got the skillet and would go back. :sunny:

He really liked the prime rib. I think he ate prime rib everywhere all week, but we enjoyed everything about Le Cellier. Have fun!

We were nervous about Mama Melrose but were very happy. The food was very good and I would go back in a heartbeat! We liked both 1900 Park fare and Crystal Palace, the food was basically the same at both places and I think they were both crowded, but we got more attention at the Crystal Palace. It depends on whether you like Cinderella or Pooh. ;)

Can you tell me more about the food and atmosphere about 1900? I can't wait to eat there!!

I thought that 1900 was very similar to Crystal palace on the inside. Casual with a hint of elegance. The food was good. Prime rib, salmon, chicken marsala, rice potatoes, salads, soups, pastas. Plenty of desserts. The princesses were very nice and spent time with each table. There was a calliope?? that played music every now and then. The desserts were good and it wasn't as chaotic as I had thought it might be, everyone wanted to impress the princesses. :) Prince charming was cute, too. ;) The food was very fresh and I would definitely go again. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the info tekmom. It sounds just wonderful! :sunny:

Yes, there are many more things on the dinner buffet. I forget what many were but there was a good variety of meats, salads, pastas, breads, desserts, etc. I don't think you would have any problem with anything there if you have eaten at other disney buffets. Outside of Boma it was a typical buffet but with a good variety. If you liked the Crystal Palace you will like this one...DH thought they were almost identical. Enjoy!
