Hi all!
I'm not into a super involved trip report, but felt you guys might like to hear my quick impressions of my meals while they are still fresh in my head!
We had Dxddp...and it was waaay too much food. I was one who thought it would be fine, but it really was too much!
Ok...the meals...
Dinner at Artist Point...Not as fancy inside as I expected. Had a good salmon, hubby had a steak (I think) and it looked great. All in all, not as great as I was expecting for a 2 credit meal.
Breakfast at Whispering Canyon...had all you can eat skillet, and pastry basket. Very tasty breakfast, was very happy. Loved the potatoes and bisciuts and sausage! Fun atmosphere (we ate here for brekkie on our last day too!)
Lunch at Rose and Crown...my meal was funky. Had a mushroomy appetizer that seemed really *earthy*. yuck. Had the shepards pie, and the ground lamb was over seasoned and salty. Yuck. Hubby had the fish and chips and liked it...it tasted very good. He had a salmon pate appetizer that he hated though.
Dinner at Biergarten....loved everything about this place! The beer, the buffet, the music was great. Definitely will return!
Breakfast......room service. Was good.
Lunch.....Mama Melrose's. Thought it was great. We both got bruschetta, and it was tasty. Hubby got a flatbread with bacon, cheese and onion and that was good. I had a grilled chicken pizza...Yum. I also had chocolate gelato that was yummy. Tiramisu wasn't good.
Dinner...Ohana. Hubby's favorite place. Everything is tasty (except pork is dry). Love it.
Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare...slow service and ok buffet food. Will not return, very noisy.
Lunch at Liberty Tree tavern....a nice surprise. Had crabcake appy (too much salt in remoulade sauce) but ok, I had a delicious pot roast and hubby had a turkey dinner that was good. Had a wonderful apple dessert too. Very happy here.
Dinner at Les Chefs de France....had lobster bisque that was good. Had a wonderful salmon with red pepper sauce, hubby had beef and it was great. Creme brulee was exactly as expected...very nice. Tasty place.
Breakfast at Whispering Canyon lodge (see above)
We skipped one ressie at Hollywood and Vine. We had ressies at all restuarants but only reaaly needed it at Biergarten, the restaurants were only half full. It was a great week to go (I selfishly don't really even want to tell you that!).
We didn't use all our meal credits which was a shame, and when we had a ressie we weren't really very hungry which sucked the joy out of eating a bit. Would definitely try the regular ddp in the future, though!
Hope this is good info for some of you. All in all we had a GREAT time!
