I'm not going to go into extensive detail, but anyone wants more information just ask.

Saturday: Lunch at Cosmic Ray's. Dinner at Chef Mickey's.

Sunday: Breakfast at Cindarella's Royal Table. Dinner at Mara (food court at AKL).

Monday: Breakfast in the room. Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ at AK. Dinner at Boma.

Tuesday: Breakfast at Princess Storybook Breakfast. Late lunch of fish and chips from Rose and Crown stand.

Wednesday: Breakfast in room. Lunch at Sci Fi Dine-in Theater. Late afternoon went to Beaches and Cream for the Kitchen Sink for DS's 9th birthday - Absolutely loved it. Dinner at Mara.

Thursday: Breakfast in room. Went to BLizzard Beach and had lunch at one of the fastfood stands. Dinner at O'Hana at the Polynesian - Probably our favorite meal.

Friday: Breakfast in room. Lunch at the fastfood restaurant in Dinoland at AK. Was supposed to have dinner at Le Cellier, but DH was sick, so canceled that and went with the in-law's and kids to 50's PrimeTime.

Forgot to add - various snacks throughout the parks.

What did you think of Mara? I'm guessing you were at AKL. I've seen mixed reviews about this food court. I'm hoping it is doable for a few quick meals.

Thanks!

The Princess Storybook Breakfast is in the Norway restaurant at Epcot. It's a character breakfast.

We loved it. It is brought out family style. We started off with pastries and fresh fruit. They then brought out a big skillet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, a potato casserole dish, and waffles. It was typical breakfast fare - nothing too exciting, but the character interaction was fabulous. At our breakfast we had Mulan, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, and Belle. They spent a lot of time with the kids.

yes, we were at AKL. Mara was good. There wasn't a very wide variety of food, but what we had was good. They had typicals such as chicken fingers, pizza, burgers, etc. but also some more exotic dishes such as Tandori chicken pizza, African stew, some of the soups from Boma, etc. The refrigerated carry-and-go section had an excellent prime rib cold sandwich.

They also had desserts in to-go boxes from Boma (zebra domes and chocolate mousse crunch) - Loved these.

How were the crowds and the weather last week. We were originally booked to go that week, then bumped it up to the first week of May. All week long, I kept on thinking, "gee, if we did not switch weeks, we would be at Disney now".

Thanks, in advance, for the information.

The Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot can be reserved at 120 days. We have ours booked for September. You do have to put down a deposit for it. At least if we don't get into the Cinderella Breakfast, we will have this one (and if we get into Cindy's we will have 2 days of Princess Breakfasts!).

I've not heard a lot about dinner at Chef Mickey's. What did you think? How was the food? Thanks!

Marie

Thanks for sharing - wonderful reviews!!!!

MarieS - We really enjoyed Chef Mickey. It was our first night, so it was a lot of fun to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, and Donald. The food was good. The prime rib was excellent and loved the parmesean mashed potatoes. There was also a salad bar, several pasta salads and a seafood salad that very good, peel and eat shrimp, MIckey ravioli, a chicken and pasta dish, a broiled fish entre, kiddie food bar with pizza, chicken fingers, and macaroni and cheese. The dessert bar was excellent - loved the chocolate mousse crunch cake. Chef MIckey's is lots of fun. The character interaction was great. My 3-yo wasn't sure she liked the characters yet. We told them she was a little shy and she eventually warmed up enough for Mickey to kiss her hand and Minnie got a big kiss on the nose. The only one she didn't like was Goofy, but he was really BIG.

DisneyFamily - It was very hot last week, up to 93 a couple of days together with the 98-100% humidity makes for miserable and I'm kind of used to the heat living in Georgia. It seemed to be pretty crowded to me at least. I know the last time we went several years ago the exact same week, we didn't have to wait for any of the rides. This year the rides were averaging a 30-45 minute wait.

Was wondering what "Cindabella" and your 8-year-old thought of Boma's! (And Mom and Dad, too!)
We're headed down with our 14, 10 and 6-year-olds in September and are planning a Boma's dinner. Just curious how you all enjoyed it...especially kids.
Thanks...and glad you had a nice vacation! (By the way, on our trip last year, on the last night, our then 5-year-old got sick as can be. So sad!!)

CD&Kids - We LOVED Boma. I was a bit worried at first that my picky FIL wouldn't like it, but everyone, including him, was pleased. They have a kid's section that has the standard kid's fare including mac/cheese, chicken fingers, etc. so they were happy with that. The kids were kind of picky so they didn't try the more exotic dishes. The soups are excellent. The main dishes included prime rib, salmon in banana leaf, can't remember what the chicken dish was, a beef and lamb dish that I didn't try. THe side dishes were unusual, but very good - loved the sweet potato one (Fufu?). Be sure to leave plenty of room for the desserts - they are outstanding.

About the last night, I had just wanted to it perfectly which it didn't, but overall it was an absolutely fabulous trip.

So glad to hear about Boma's! It's what I expected to hear...but there's nothing like hearing it first hand from someone who experienced it! Those zebra domes are as good as advertised?!
