My DD12 and I just returned from a 4 night stay at POP...
1. Check in (3:00pm) was quick with no one in line. I hadn't made any requests ahead but requested 50's lake view and got it no problem which surprised me because the resort was fully booked. We could see the Epcot fireworks from our room!
2. Considering the resort was full I was surprised how quiet it was..we swam midday in the bowling pool with only 2 other people in it and we walked along the paths and barely saw any people.
3. Despite how quiet the resort seemed the food court was not! At peak hours it was hard to get a table but despite the long lines they moved fairly quickly. The food was quite good and the kids meals were a very good value. The frozen coke machine was working every time we went to use it.
4. As many OPs have stated...the walls are pretty thin but I am an early riser so the early am showers didn't bother me. I could literally hear someone coughing and the downside to lake view is the early am lawn maintenance. The room was spotless and was well cleaned every day.
5. The buses were fantastic...we rarely had to wait more than 5-10 minutes and at the end of the night after MK there was one after another.
6. The CMs were all very pleasant and helpful and we never had a negative encounter with anyone.
Overall, we had a great experience at POP and would stay there again for another short trip but for my family of 4 when we travel for a week or more we would go back to a mod simply because of the slightly bigger room, water slide and hot tub which we make great use of but for the money, POP is really a great value!
