We are back and I'm avoiding laundry and school work so I thought I would share a few things from our recent trip. Traveling party was myself and DH (late 40s), DS (14-year-old Disney nut), and my parents (both 79). The three of us (excluding my parents) have PAP and spent a month at Disney this summer. This trip was to get a bit more and to take my parents who haven't been in 13 years and were trying to figure out why we keep going! I'm happy to answer any questions, but here are a few things that stand out to share.
1) after the first few days we talked my mom into renting a wheelchair and things improved. She had been having trouble with her hip and while she didn't want to be in a wheelchair it made things go much more smoothly and quickly. I found the chairs easy to push and well maintained and she found them comfortable and quickly caught on to the lingo, "I can transfer."
2) my parents were only up for spending a few hours each day in the parks so we went slow. Arriving late and leaving early. FP was our savior with this schedule at the busiest time of the year. There were times that we took mom and dad back to the condo early and some or all of the rest of us stayed at the park. Other times some of us went early. Uber worked great when we weren't all together.
3) Highway in the sky dinner was amazing
4) Only time we were really in a crush of people was leaving MK after holiday wishes. Should have known better...
