Hey folks! This is my first attempt at a trip/dining report of any kind so be easy on me, k? I guess first off I should tell you a little bit about us and our trip!

My name is Kerri and I am 30 years old. I love the WDW dining experience as a whole...Sometimes I think I prefer the restaurants over the rides. Here is a pic of me with my favorite musician, Daryl Hall. (I am a total Hall & Oates freak!)

And here is DH, Jim. He is 34 and is also a WDW lover. He will tell you he is all about the rides and park experience but he's always quick to make dining suggestions and to "make sure" I've included his favorite places in the ADR list! Jimmy is also a complete H&O nut! We follow the band all over the country and have an awesome time!

So, we decided to take this trip to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! We visit WDW 2-3 times a year and honeymooned @ The World so there was never any discussion about how we would celebrate...we just knew that's where we were going!

We are DVC members and a few months ago we chatted about where we'd like to say and came up with the unanimous decision that it would be Bay Lake Tower! And let me tell you, it was great!!! But that's a topic for another report.

Hello!!!!! I am here too!!! You have a few of the places we have picked too!!!:goodvibes

Hi kids!!! So glad you've joined the party!!!! Sorry that it has taken me so long to get going....I am currently in school and got slammed with an exam and 2 papers all at once....but that's behind me now!!! Thank heavens!!

So for our first culinary adventure of this trip we hit up T-Rex!! I had been reading so many cool reviews here on the DIS I wanted to check it out. We arrived at MCO at about 10:30 AM...and after getting lost in the rental car garage due to some construction (we wandered on foot for at least 30 minutes)....DH was fuming and we were both starving!!

We finally found our car after some creative maneuvers and got on the road headed to BLT! Luckily when we checked in at about 11:30, they had a room ready for us. I LOVE IT when that happens. We found our room, unpacked the luggage, and skidaddled over to Downtown Disney.

We arrived there at about 1PM and walked up to the hostess and were told that it would be about a 20 minute wait. That was fine by us! We took some obligatory (and cool) pics in front of all of the signs and dinosaurs outside and walked around the shop for a few minutes. Then we heard DH's name being called....time to eat!!!

The hostess led us by the bar to the ICE CAVE! What a cool dining room! The lighting is very dim but has a really cool blue hue which gives the illusion that the walls are made of ice. It's a dome shaped space with faux dinosaur bones suspended in the "ice". During the meteor shower the room turns a shade of orange-red and flashes of light lead you to believe that the restaurant is being bombarded...a very neat effect.

Our server came over within about 2-4 minutes. He seemed a tad rushed, I think he may have been assigned too many tables. Don't get me wrong he was attentive and always brought drink refills, just nothing over and above his waiter-ly obligations.

Being that we had an ADR scheduled later that evening at Cape May Cafe, we knew that we didn't want to overeat! After perusing the massive menu (Brontosaurus sized!!!) we settled on two appetizers to share.

The Colosso Nachos were awesome. Great flavor in the beef and plenty of toppings to cover each and every chip! Delish

The Artifact Stack was my personal fav. The BBQ ranch sauce served on the side was killer. The onions rings themselves were very nice and crispy, not soggy or greasy at all.

Since we only did apps and fountain bevies we decided to pay for this one out of pocket.

Here is the pricing breakdown:

Artifact Stack $8.99
Colosso Nachos $15.99
Diet Coke $2.99
Sprite $2.99
Tax $2.01
Total $32.97

A great lunch for sure! We had a super time. I found the nachos a little pricey however the portions were large enough and we left feeling quite full. The extra paid in price was worth it for the one of a kind ambiance!

Up next....Cape May Cafe Clam Bake Buffet!!!!
