Day 4 June 12, 2007

Yep we are all still here, which after this day, I am surpirsed I am not back in PA already! Ok this is Legoland Day, we are up early, because I rented a limo to take us there. So up early, we eat in concierge and dowstairs to wait for the limo. I see that there is already a limo outside and walk ver to ask the driver if he is there for us, he looks at us and says, I doubt it! :snooty: :bitelip:  Ok so what is wrong with the way we look that people are acting like that? The driver finally calls and says he is running a few minutes late. He arrives and I should have gathered what would happen by the way he started out. He apologized for running late, and said I am sure you don't want to hear about my reasons for being late, then starts in anyways, telling me he was tied up in bed for the past 2 days with a hurt back.....:rolleyes1 So finally loaded and on our way. We arrive about an hour later to find the gates closed. They come up to open them in a few mnutes, I find the park doesn't open until 10 am not 9 am like they had listed before, oh well. He then tells us as we pull to the gates that we will have to walk to the park entrance, because he can't go through there???Ok whatever, so we get out and he comes around, I ask about paying and he says we usually do half and half, so I get rady to hand him half and he tells me this is't the right amount? I said this is th price I was quoted for the round trip, he tells me for that amount he has no intentions of returning to pick us up. :scared1: So me being stupid I paid him what I was supposed to, said a few choice words  :sad2: and a few more words and yelled at him as we walked away. Ok so here I am stuck at Legoland, which doesn't open for another hour, we are the only ones there, myself and 2 kids, from PA!!! Hello what in the H*** do I do? So I see a kid working at the guest services desk, he has no clue and says we can call you a cab, yeah an hour long cab ride. So of course my son is just bugging to get into the ark and get on rides and go go go, I am about 2 seconds from :sad1: :scared:  :crazy2:  So I get on the phone with PP concierge and ask for some help, they tell me about the Surfliner Amtrak train an set me up with the info, I also call my TA to see if there is anything else I can do. Finally the park opens, we go up to the gate and our tickets won't scan. :sad2: the attendant takes them and we are off.

So finally inside Legoland, the place is so cute, we loved it, we head to Imagination zone, off to Catle Hill, Pirate Shores, Fun Town, Explore Village then Dino Land, we grab a bite to eat at the park entrance. During our touring, my TA called with the sam info as PP Conceirge, but she gave me alternate train times. So fearing we would miss the last train or they would be packed by rush hour, we opted to leave the park. Of course I was Pi**ed, that we didn't get our full day in, but by now the park was starting to get rather busy. We did so much and everything that the kids wanted to do, some of the rides they were too big for. We were able to make it around the park in 3 hours. :thumbsup2 So off we go to guest services again, to ask them to call us a cab, sure should be here in about 20 minutes they say. So 40 minutes later, the cab driver calls and says he wil be there in about 10 minutes. :headache: the train I want to take leaves at 2:13. SO he gets there around 1:50 and belive it or not drove like a real cabbie and had us there around 2, so we get the tickets and she directs us to track 2. Ok how do we get there?? Finally I see the walk way and stairs under the tracks. We no sooner get over there and the train comes rolling in. Off we go to Anaheim. I must admitt it was a nice ride along the coast, so nice. So about an hour and 15 minutes later we arrive. Ok now what??? Cool Anaheim Angels stadium!!!! Snap a few pictures, I am a baseball fan, then ask about how to get to PP, the clerk says where? I never heard of it. :scared1: So we use the taxi phone and within minutes one arrives, some guy jumps in it. then 2 more arrive, thankfully! So off again, and ain a few minutes, we are home at PP. :goodvibes So after kissing the ground, we stop off at concierge for snacks, head back to the room. I take DS swimming for a bit before dinner and DD hits the computer. :surfweb: Later we hit PCH Grill for dinner head back to the room and watch America's got talent. :rotfl2: Early morning, early evening.
Tomorrow we are going back to DL and hitting early entry again!

I can not even believe your transportation nightmare:scared1:
How horrible to have a plan and then have an unscrupulous man totally derail you. I'm glad you refused to pay him what he changed his price to.:sad2:

It does sound like you had fun in Legoland though. My kids will be 6 and 4 when we go this fall so they should be the perfect age for it from what I understand.

I'm glad you made it back safe to Disney:hug:

Great report! :thumbsup2

You are one wonderful and resourceful Mom. I'm glad you got back to the PP w/o a huge hassle, & I hope that driver got a flat tire or got stuck in a mega jam on the I 5 for basically stranding you...I can't believe he did that. :sad2:

We also stayed at the PP (last week) Concierge, so I'm enjoying your report.

Since you now have first had knowledge, I'm curious....how much was the train trip (& what station is the drop for LegoLand)? Also how much is the cab ride from the Anaheim Train station to the PP. Thanks.

Your kids will love Legoland!

Love the PP and concierge is great!!! Highly recommend and glad you enjoyed it too! The train station at Legoland is Ocean Side that is about $25 cab ride, the train was $32 for the 3 of us, $16 for me and $8 a piece for the kids, then the cab back to PP was I believe about $11, can't quite remeber that one, but I know I gave him a $20 and asked for $5 back so he got about a $4 tip. It was a quick trip.

I'm just curious what the name of the limo company was... :rolleyes1

I certainly would hate to be stranded somewhere like that, especially the lone adult with kids in tow. I would think you'd be doing other travelers a favor by warning them about this company.

So glad you were able to enjoy the day nonetheless, and find other transportation back to the hotel. :thumbsup2

I thought about posting the comany name here, but figured I would get in trouble.
