We're going for free dining in September, and we've just added another day, therefore another TS ADR to make!

It's just my mom (58) and I (24). So far we're going to:

Cape May Cafe
Hollywood Brown Derby
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace
Boma

We're doing 3 buffets so I'm not so sure about going to another. I was also considering Kona Cafe since we stayed at the Poly about 15 years ago and it looks like a good restaurant. I'd like to do a 1 TS (we were thinking Hoop De Doo but it's a 2 TS).

Are there any must-do's that I don't have down?? If this was your vacation, what would you add?

Thanks! :)

How about something in the Boardwalk area like Spoodles? The food is wonderful and the service excellent. You can enjoy strolling on the Boardwalk after dinner.

Kona's, you can not go wrong.

I loved Cali Grill and Jiko, but they are both 2 TS.

(Make sure to take a visit to Beaches & Cream for a No Way Jose Sundae... but that's just an aside... don't use the DDP for that!)

What about something in the World Showcase?

Kona for sure! My mom (66) and myself (47)love it for dinner! Even my DD6 princess:loves it-especially the sticky wings appetizer. The food at Kona is wonderful, especially if you're on DDP. If you book your ADR at the right time, you can watch Wishes from the Poly beach after dinner. We've done this a few times and it's very pleasant while waiting for fireworks. You can also catch the Electric Water Pageant from the beach. :goodvibes

My mom and I have been many times to WDW but the first time we tried Kona was the first time we had DDP. That was Jan. 05. It is our current favorite TS (non-buffet) We ate there once in Jan. 05 and twice (dinner) Sept. 05-free dining! :Pinkbounc

That's a fabulous idea! I hadn't thought of watching the fireworks from the beach. We both miss the Poly so it might be fun to see it again. The menu at Kona looked great too. I'll have to discuss it with mom first, but this looks good!

I could also look into Spoodles and after, go over to catch Illuminations at Epcot, but we're already doing two Epcot TS's.

We'll see- I hadn't scheduled in to see Wishes so mom will probably like the first idea ;)

I have the Fantasmic package reserved with Hollywood & Vine then Melrose's in Sept.

Should I dump one of those and head to Kona? So many people say go to Kona. Is it possible to have an early dinner and head back in time to see Fantasmic the second time? I would lose what, about 30-45 minutes each way because of the bus right?

Any thoughts? thanks! - Kim princess:

We ate at Spoodles last year and that was my husbands favorite. I believe you can watch the fireworks at Epcot from the boardwalk there. We are going to Kona this year and have heard wonderful things about it. Hope you have a great trip!

....OR.... How about heading out to PI and going to Raglan Rd. Haven't been there yet but reviews seem to be great and heard that the entertainment is fun. I think the entertainment starts at 9pm so it would have to be a late meal to enjoy the singers/dancers.

I love the San Angel Inn. Its my favorite place along with Boma.

I vote for either Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe. Both are good and tonnes of fun. Enjoy!!

I haven't eaten at Kona myself, but I've read many good reviews of it.
