Just a thought for Frontierland...

You know I have been thinking about this for a long time and thought I would post it in the hopes that the powers-that-be might see it.

I'm sure many of you have seen those souvenir photos that you can take where they dress you up in 1800's clothes and then develop the picture using sepia coloring? They should have one of these places in Frontierland and then some characters dressed in clothes from the same time period that you can take the pictures with. Anyone else agree? Does everyone know what I'm talking about? LoL I just think these would make cute souvenirs...different then the standard "family-in-front-of-the-castle"
:goodvibes

Great idea - we have done this in Alaska (Skagway, a gold rush town, with corresponding outfits) and on cruises (Titanic staircase theme, with turn of the century outfits) - very fun!

I only started going to the World in '99, but my recollection is that I heard they use to have this years back, but discontinued it due to the time constraints of moving a large number of people through the process to make it viable to them ($$$). Out family has one of those pictures from a place nearby here to Chicago, the Wisconsin Dells, from when the kids were like 5 and 7. It is one of the best pictures we have, a real fun memory.

Yep.

We have one. Somewhere around 1982 ??? I think.

And, IIRC, it was tucked into a corner on Main Street.

Aww I wish they'd bring it back... I would wait in line for it. You should have to call ahead and make a reservation or something to help with the time limit.

And they also used to have an area outside of POTC where you could dress up as pirates and pose with the pirate ( a non-moving life-like statue that was at the helm of the ship manning the steering wheel). My parents have a picture of us with the pirate (they had the pirate costumes you could dress up in to make the photo realistic) on their mantle from the early 80's.... THAT would be something awesome to bring back esp. with all the POTC hype nowadays!!!!

I was just thinking about that! We've got one, I think it was around 1990, of DS. I think it was called Lafite's Portrait Gallery.
