DH and I were in the World last weekend. He ran the half marathon. Here are our thoughts on the food:
Kona breakfast: Yummo! Tonga toast for DH, Pineapple pancakes for me with their fabulous coffee, We arrived 30 min early and were seated immediately, good service too
Plaza: a step above counter service burgers for only slightly more $, brownie and the hot fudge in the brownie sundae were cold, waited 30 min past our ADR time, Probably won't be rushing back
Raglan Road: We weren't very hungry so we just shared the large combination appetizer that included drunk chicken, fried scallops, Guinness ribs and the Dalkey sausages. I LOVED the scallops, the chicken was just good grilled chicken and DH took care of the ribs and sausages. We shared the bread pudding dessert which was good, but didn't quite live up to the hype. I would love to return to try some entrees. The band and dancers made it a really fun place to eat/drink/hangout. Our service was below average, once we had to go up to the bar to get drink refills.
50's Primetime: DH loves this place, I'm a little tired of it as we have eaten there every time for the last 3 trips. He supposedly wanted to eat there for the pot roast, then ordered the vegetarian spaghetti?! This was the day of the marathon and he said he needed carbs, well then why couldn't we eat at Mama Melrose? Our server (Cousin Bobby, in rare form) talked him into the combo plate that included pot roast, meat loaf and chicken. I also had the fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes. Good, not great, will eat here again but I would like a little break
Flying Fish:

OMG! My new favorite restaurant. We had the tomato/mozzarella appetizer...phenomenal. I had the potato-wrapped snapper and wanted to lick the plate. DH had the Chef special, seafood pasta and while not as good as mine, still excellent. Our server was Theresa and she was absolutely perfect. The only thing underwhelming was the banana phyllo dessert. It wasn't bad, just not awesome. I will eat here again....soon.
La Hacienda: DH's favorite meal. We shared the La Hacienda platter that included steak, chicken, and chorizo. I didn't find it too spicy, and I'm a mild/medium salsa kind of girl. It was very good quality Mexican food but too overpriced IMO. We had a booth along the back wall and enjoyed our view of Illuminations. Our server was a really pretty girl named Paola who did a great job.
Snacks: cream cheese pretzel (the Lunching Pad in MK)... delicious
strawberry/banana smoothie (Auntie Gravity's)...good and refreshing
choc/peanut butter cupcake (Starring Rolls)...OMG yummy
strawberry parfait (Starring Rolls)...a lighter, fresh dessert
peach oolong tea (China)....very good and refreshing
caramel popcorn and chocolate covered caramel (Germany)
F&W: We spent an entire day gnoshing around the World Showcase and, to my best recollection, hit the following:
Argentina: beef skewer w/chimichurri sauce
Mexico: beef tacos
Cheese: fondue and artisanal plate
Germany: sausage in pretzel roll
apple strudel
Italy: ravioli, shrimp pasta and cannoli
USA: lobster roll
New Zealand: lamb slider
France: coq au vin, chocolate creme brulee
Ireland: cheese plate, chocolate lava cake (twice!), fisherman's pie
Canada: cheese soup
Greece: Greek salad
Hawaii: pork slider
Everything was good, the standouts were the cake and fisherman's pie from Ireland, the beef from Argentina, and the coq au vin. I didn't like the sausage from Germany, but I'm not a big fan of sausage anyway. I've had better/fresher Greek salad locally. We had various assorted wines and drinks as well. My favorites were Rosa Regale (not at F&W, but a perennial fave), the Cosmo slush, and the Riesling at New Zealand.
We are headed back in December with our three boys
