Just A Quickie Before We Leave??!!!

A quick pre-trip report that is..

So we leave in 16 days and I am just now starting my pre-trip..lol I know..such a slacker. I still have so much to do before the trip. I can't get over how fast it has come up on me this year. EEK!

First off the info on this trip..

DS (Landon) 2 will not come with us on this trip. I am going to miss him crazily and keep feeling so badly for not taking him but we want to wait til he is a little over 3 before taking him. He has not been walking too long yet... he hates long car rides.. really hates being out in the heat, etc.. Oh yes, and he hates hates hates fireworks..lol So, we thought we would just go and take Ethan alone one last time.

Ya know, I think the main thing that bugs me about not taking Landon is that I will not have him in the pics with us..lol I might have to photoshop him in or something..haha Kidding!

So back to the trip... we are celebrating dh's b-day and our 8th wedding anniversary on this trip. We are excited about that.

We leave Sept 12th to drive through the night and arrive at Riverside early on the 13th. I dread that 9 hour drive but am sooo looking forward to getting HOME (to Riverside that is)!


We will be there on free dining til the 21st! I can't wait!

Well, at least you'll have at least 10 years before Landon will complain or question why he wasn't in any of the pictures. By then I'm sure they'll have some great photoshop programs!

and 20 hours?? AHH! Do you do it all in one day? I feel like we are going to fall asleep after just the 9 hour drive.. I can't imagine over double that!

Ok, so I really should have a checklist of things to get done before leaving.

Let me think off the top of my head here..


Picking out clothing.. CHECK (for the most part)

Pack?? Umm..yeah, that will get done maybe a day before we leave..haha

Make ADR's?? CHECK a million times over.. Still wondering if we made the right choices! (will get to that)

Make decorations for the window at the hotel? MUST DO!! I bought the lime green poster board to represent The Dis.. now just to sit down and make something out of it.. This requires creativity which I seem to be lacking lately!

Make my booklet like I did last year to have adr's and daily info in? NOPE! Bought the book..need to get to photoshop and get busy on the rest!

Think about all the wonderful photos I want to take? CHECKY!

Get camera bag and tripod? Check Check!!!

Look at food porn? You betcha!!!

Count down the days? CHECK!!!

Make a little pre-trip report? WORKING on it!

Freak out that the trip is coming up so fast and it will be over before we know it???? CHECK CHECK CHECK! EEKKKK!!!!





What could I be missing???? Hmm... I am sure some thing will come to mind.

Boy, we have had a time with these. We keep hoping we are making the right choices. We have done all but 3 of these before.. Boma, CRT and 1900 PF b-fast. Boma looks so cool and gets such great comments that we want to try it but we are REALLY picky eaters so a little nervous here. We have never been to the AKL before though so we are definitely looking forward to having an excuse to get over there.
CRT..well...ok..2 counter services..more bad comments than good..etc.. BUT we REALLY want to get to eat in the castle so we are giving it a try and hope we are not too let down! I am really looking forward to it.
1900 Breakfast.. really looking forward to this too b/c we get to eat with my favortie character.. MAD HATTER! I just love him. I can't wait.. PLUS we get to see Mary Poppins too who is my next favorite. Makes it all the better. This is the only breakfast we are doing on the trip and we are saving it til the last full day there.

The rest we have done before and love so of coarse we had to go back.

Ok, so before I forget.. not sure if I shared any pics of the book I made last year after our trip but I just love this book. This is definitely on my list of things to do when we get back! Oh my, starting to look like I need a check list for that too..ha

Great start! I just started my PTR as well! We leave in 24 days! Cant wait to hear more.
