I just booked a spur of the moment fun trip with my oldest son on his college break. I can't believe I'll be going without my DH and other boys, first time ever. But we are so excited! We're going March 11-16th, just me and Pat! Can't wait!:goodvibes

Thats a great idea! i always wanted to do a spur of the moment trip like that! Luckily, ill be there a couple months later to celebrate college graduation! hope you have a great time!

We're doing the same thing too! Just me and DD10. Dh and older DD are staying homewhile we are having a blast in WDW!

I cannot wait to experience this vacation doing the things that DD really wants to do and following her schedule, it's gonna be like going to WDW for the very first time!

Enjoy!

It will be me, my 15 yr old DS and 14 yr old DD!!! This will be our first trip just the three of us. We have always traveled with my mom and sometimes the sister tags along. I think we are going to really enjoy this trip just the three of us. 73 days and counting!!!!!!! 10 more weeks :woohoo:

Have a great trip. My oldest daughter(17) and I went alone for an extended weekend in November and we had a blast. In fact our last day we hit all 4 parks and rode everything that we wanted to again. It was the perfect ending to a great trip and I hope at some point to take each of my children alone and who knows maybe even my husband and I can get there for an "adult" weekend somewhere along the line. Have fun.:goodvibes

You are going to have such a special experience. My DD and I celebrated her 13th birthday by spending a week at WDW in August. We left DH and sons home and had a girls' trip. It was a week of forever memories. I can't wait to go again with her. Enjoy!:cool1:

DS16 and I will be there the same time as you. We are so excited. Well, I am much more excited than he is but he is still ready to go. I have a surprise Segway tour booked for us that Monday of our trip. Now I just have to be sure and get him to Epcot that day. I hope he doesn't insist on going to another park that day. It will spoil the surprise.

Ha ha! I think your question should be, "who isn't going for SPring Break." :teeth:

That is great that you are going with just your son. A great time to bond. Have a most wonderful trip.

DS (17) and I will be at WDW 3/21 - 3/30 for Spring Break. I'm actually taking him out of school for 2 1/2 days. He's a straight A student in a private Catholic High School and never misses school, so I don't feel bad taking him out. I had him pick up a pre-approved absence form from the Vice Principal yesterday. The VP asked when he would be missing school and was shocked that I was planning so far ahead. I guess it's just the anal planner in me! DH is staying home this trip. I love the fact that DS still likes to hang out with his old mom. We're meeting up with my childhood neighbor who works at Fulton's (and LOVES working at WDW and living in Florida) who has a daughter that is just a few months older than DS. My friend is going to take us to her favorite beach at Siesta Key and to do a little off property shopping! 10 weeks from today I'll be "home" ºoº !!!

I took my oldest 2 boys last summer without DH and the younger 3 kids. It was so much fun. I plan on doing that with the other kids also since DH is not addicted to the World like the rest of the family. I'm hoping for Free Dining again this summer so I can take my only DD on a Mommy and Me Princess Trip and get in some quality girl time. Have a great trip with your son!

Thanks everyone, such fun replies! I can't wait to experience it with him, but I know I'll miss my DH and other boys. After all these trips, I can't imagine it without them. But it will be kinda fun to run around like crazy with just Pat and me. He's alot of fun to be with! I just booked the Keys to the Kingdom tour for the first time, and I know it would've been too expensive for the whole family to go. So can't wait for that!

Jillpie ~ I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour a few years ago and it was a lot of fun and very informative. Have you thought about the Around the World at Epcot Segway tour for Pat and yourself? My DS and I did that tour last year on our Spring Break trip and LOVED it! In fact, we're hoping that the "off road" Segway tour at Fort Wilderness will be up and running when we're there in March so we can book that. I believe I got a 20% discount for using my Disney VISA or being a DVC member, I can't remember which.

You know, its funny you should mention the Segway tour. Pat did mention a while back he would love to do that. But I don't know, 2 tours? Not sure if I could swing it. It sure sounds like fun though. I'll have to think about it, thanks!
