Hi! DH just gave me and the kids the go-ahead to visit DL for one day (next Tuesday!). We're visiting my parents who have a dial-up modem (s-l-o-w!!!), and it's been taking me hours looking for the info I need, but with no luck.

Would someone mind helping me out with a few answers so I can free up the phone line? :) Thanks in advance.

1. Have they done any new updates to Tom Sawyer's Island from two summers ago? There was hardly anything to play on then (the fort being closed and only a few bridges to cross). If not, I think that I'll skip it and concentrate on other things.

2. Is the parade really worth it? Since we're only there a day we usually skip the parades and hit the rides instead. I'm inclined to do the same again, but the kids may pester me to see this one. And if so, is the first or second one best?

3. Is there anything new and fun to see, do, or eat that they've added since last June when we visited last? And yes, I did see the link on Capt. Jack Sparrow!!!!!

Thanks!

Fun things include the gold ride vehicles, and spotting all of the "50th" signs. Great things are Buzz, turtle talk with crush, monsters Inc ride ,ToT, and the new fireworks.Plus, there are new effects in the HM.

I'd Recommend seeing The newest parade... Parade Of Dreams.... It will be gone after the 50th is ove.. well that is what CM's have been telling me.. as for Tom Sawyer Island.. its the same...They have added the Monster's Inc. ride over at California Adventures.. that is a ride that is mainly for little ones.. but it's very cute, probably a one time ride IMO... Space Mountain has re-opened, that is fun. If i think of more, ill post :) Have fun on your trip!

Thanks for the info... I'll make sure to skip Tom Sawyer's Island. It was a huge dissapointment the last time we went. It's nothing like it used to be, that's for sure.

We are going to make sure to see the fireworks. I was there last summer with my sister and mom -- they were just fantastic! I'll just have to remember to bring along the earplugs for the kids.

But I am very excited -- just a few more days!!!! yay!
