I received a call this morning.

My friend went peacefully went to sleep yesterday and while sleeping went to live with the Lord.

She no longer is in pain.

Couple of things that might let you know what kind of person she was. While one of our friends (marcy) was visiting her a bit ago (during one of the times where the doctors said she would not make it more then a day or two more), she motioned and had her Marcy come close and whispered to her "make sure you put sunscreen on the children today, it looks hot outside and they may burn". Vicki said this as she had tubes coming in and out of her, and barley hanging on to life. She was worried about a Marcy's kids getting sunburned.

Vicki knew her time was close last week. She instructed everyone that she did not want to die in her home because she did not want her kids to have bad memories of their home. She was to be driven t hospice house for the last couple of days of her life.

The world has lost a good person this morning.

Please keep her family and friends in your prayers.

Thanks

I have a friend who has fought breast cancer bravely for years and defied some odds that many doctors can't believe.

We found out today the fight may soon be over. I pray that the doctors are wrong again.

Until a couple of weeks ago when we went to visit her in the hospital, it had been years since I saw her as I married and moved out of state so long ago. I wanted her to see my daughter who she had never met.

We would all get together we said in the years past, as soon as we all had the time.

Couple of recommendations from someone who wish he had made time.

If this sounds familiar in your life, make the time.

Pick up the phone, call, talk about nothing. Just make the time.

Angry at a friend or loved one? Swallow your pride and make the time.

Go hug your significant other right now. If you have children, go hug them right now. Nothing is more important right now, make the time.

Once its gone, it gone.

If anyone believes in a higher power, please do me a favor and mention Vicki to them.

We need another miracle.

Thanks

and thanks for reminding us what is too easy to forget until it's too late.

I'll be praying for your friend.

My mother is battling metastatic breast cancer in her bones and I have come to treasure the time we spend together. Don't get me wrong, she is winning the battle right now but the situation does make you realize the importance of your family and where your priorites should be.

Thoughts are with you and Vicki :grouphug:

I am glad to say, that is how I approach life. Not sure why, I just always have had the mind set that, everything is a memory- what do you want it to be. I don't hold grudges. I tend to keep in touch with everyone, even when it is feeling like I am the one doing it the most. I want no regrets, I always reach out. There is always more we can though, so thanks for the reminder.
I do get what your saying :goodvibes

We all lead hectic lives and it is always a nice remind to stop
and smell to roses! Best of luck Drake, thanks for putting a
positive spin on such a tough time.

Good thoughts to Vicki and you and yours Drake. Go hug Kaitlyn!

Thought I would update everyone.

Either the doctors are wrong again or the thoughts and prayers have worked. (I tend to like the latter :)

Our friend seems to be doing well.

She is even back Facebooking (if that is a word) :)

Please keep her in your prayers though if you dont mind.

P.S.

Make the Time !!!!

Great news!!! If she is facebooking then she must be doing alright. :cool1:

:grouphug: will keep her in our prayers.

That is great advice and something we need to be reminded of.
