Just a Couple of Questions - Fireworks & Schedule

So I've been waffling on taking a quick solo trip to DL next month. My dates would be the 15th and 16th (park days). That is right at the beginning of Pixar Fest, so great, but I can't seem to find schedules on the new fireworks show. It starts on April 13th, but do they typically run them on Sunday or Monday? I wasn't going to do a park day on my arrival day (14th) but if that is the only day to see the fireworks I could. So, I'm just wondering what is typical. I know fireworks at DL are a dicey proposition anyway due to the wind.

Also, just a follow-up, would it be expected to be incredibly busy at that time? Will the start of Pixar Fest draw massive crowds? I mean, I can deal with a reasonably high level or crowds unless it will be so insane that I should run for the hills.

Thanks, everyone!

The mid-April operating calendar just went up and it might take them a while to add in all the entertainment, but my guess is that the new Pixar fireworks show will be presented nightly for the duration of the Pixar Fest. Normally, fireworks would only be presented on weekends (Fri-Sun, plus holiday Mondays) during the period between Spring Break season and the start of Summer season. However, they are offering the Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge experience nightly starting on April 13th (for the dates visible on the calendar) and they usually only offer that experience on nights when fireworks are scheduled to be presented, so I'm guessing that means nightly fireworks.

My guess (and it's just a guess) is that the parks will be pretty crowded in the evenings when guests come in to see the new fireworks show and PtN (over in DCA). I don't know that the day time crowds will be as big (I would guess the crowds will be bigger when Pixar Pier opens in June because that involves attractions).

Okay, that's good to know. I thought they had issues running fireworks on weeknights all the time due to the noise. I figured at least Sunday, but I wasn't sure I wanted to risk only having one shot at it. I also want to see Paint the Night and Fantasmic! Anyway, that sounds awesome. Now if I could just convince any of my friends to go with me....

I was wondering if there is some kind of provisions that let's them present fireworks for 'x' number of nights a year and that they're "trading" those days in April/May with earlier this year when they didn't present fireworks at all.

Hmm, yeah, I don't know. I am used to the WDW schedule where they can do whatever they want. I know they have a pretty give and take relationship with the Anaheim city government.

Anyway, thanks for the info. Now I have to decide to pull the trigger or not. It's expensive, but Pixar Fest is starting to win me over!

Fireworks are now on the schedule up to the 3rd week April.
Where are you seeing this? I see no fireworks on the schedule. I’m missing something some how.
