Just 2 of my favorite ebay items availible now

Ok...I think I laughed so hard I nearly passed out, I went to ebay and typed in Disney Cruise Line. Got about 200 items availible to purchase. My top two favorites.....for what are these people thinking are.

1. The vacation planning video- they had it listed for 5.00 and 3 dollars shipping, ITS IN MINT condition though! UMm....hey I hope no one bought it because its FREE!!!!!!

2. This ones prob the best....

Disney Cruise Line~Exclusive Matches~RARE

Thats how they listed it...hurry if you want them...its only got another 20 min left....and at 1.00 plus shipping you dont wanna miss out.

Has anyone else seen any other goofy things? I know that I find some great stuff over on ebay, but these just had me laughing!

You know this was such a perfect post I had to reply. Every since I booked my cruise 3 months ago, and have been obsessed with this forum (1 month), I have wanted everything to be perfect with my upcoming cruise. That said, I am big and I mean big on ebay, and I was looking to maybe get 3 shirts for myself, DH, and DD that matched, so I go shopping on ebay. And what do I find, when I search "disney cruise line"? Not three shirts alike, oh no, I find shampoo & lotion (now at $2.99 with 3 days to go), soap, saw the matches (almost got in a bidding war for those YEA RIGHT!), the luggage tags are a must have, I mean they can't give you enough with your documents for free CAN THEY? But I think the worst, is someone buying a used soda mug. Listen, I paid ALOT of money for this cruise and I can't imagine why someone would even THINK about buying a used soda mug. If I couldn't afford the $35 bucks for the mug, I wouldn't go on the cruise.......UGH!!!!!!

It's utterly amazing to me some of the "stuff" sold on ebay....people have so much free time to open an auction, and then package and ship an item that they get $5.00 for....

Just to let you know, as an ebay seller $5.00 for an item you would have normally gotten 50 cents for in a garage sale is a small fortune. It is worth it to list and to pack it.

If you want a crazy ebay story, yesterday I was looking at an item of clothing to bid on and the lister noted all of her ebay money was going towards her wedding. ALSO then she said that they were taking donations by paypal or money orders. She stated that ever bit will help. Maybe I should list that my moneywas going towards WDW and would accept donations because every little bit would help.

I saw someone who was selling a "set" of the debarkation luggage tags. You know, the ones they have in the buckets by the customer service counter... If I remember correctly the starting bid was $10. Might be worth it to grab a handful next time you go...

The only thing that bothers me is that it seems like they are taking advantage of someone who doesn't know these things will be free on the cruise. Or as with the mug, it seems very dishonest to sell because the mugs are meant for that cruise only. Plus the fact that they neglect to add that you have to have the sticker on your KTTW card to get the free soda.

I have seen the DCL tote bag sell for a pretty good price.

I recently saw a listing for the paper folders they give you your Shutters pictures in!! Not a nice DCL frame or the leather portfolio, but the paper fold over kind!

After reading a thread on here a couple weeks ago about good deals on DCL tote bags on Ebay, I bid on one. I ended up getting it for $16.99 plus shipping. I am very pleased with it! It is larger than I thought it would be and very well made. The price tag was still on the bag with the price listed as $36. So, I think I got a pretty good deal!

I also saw the DCL video, luggage tags and matches being offered for sale. I can't believe people would actually try to sell things you can get for free. But like the saying goes, "One man's garbage is another man's treasure"! Another saying that comes to mind is "Buyer beware!" - especially on Ebay!

So you play the oboe? I started on the oboe and switched to the bassoon in the seventh grade. Both are great instruments! I don't really like my screen name, but I couldn't think of anything else when I joined the DIS boards!

I was surprised that I actually got the tote bag. I only bid once, but at that time there were three other tote bags to bid on. I guess I got lucky!

Is there somewhere to buy them other than the ship? I've searched the internet.

I read on that other thread about the DCL tote bags on Ebay, that people buy them at a Disney outlet store near Orlando. I still don't know how they sell them so cheap. I saw one tote bag on Ebay going for $9.99.
