Anyone have any opinions on Jungle Jim's??

Their menu looks huge & sounds like something my family would enjoy.

TIA,
Kara

We went on our first night, kids wanted to go.i told them it was like Rainforest Cafe..wrong..very cheezy, kids didn't like anything on the menu they ordered a special drink that was supposed to come with a lion and monkey on top, they were thinking the tops would have a big head like animal kingdom..they bring 2 styrofoam cups with 1 inch hard plastic animals on topof the straw(think gumball machine) for $3.00, no way, we ordered pot roast mostly because it was the only resonable priced thing, it was good but the waiter was bad i asked to sit outside they said no, we had to ask for rolls and drinks and then paid a 60.00 bill and gladly left, it was a disapointing first day meal..we really treasure these..there is so much right in that block that we enjoyed much better..

we did not like it also. I do not know how long ago we went there but apparently things have not changed. Do not waste your money.

we love jungle jims it is our first stop before check in the drinks are awesome

I found out about Jungle Jim's from reading the Disboards, and we had our first Orlando meal there! We all really enjoyed the meal, and would definitely go back again!

My family and I went there twice on our trip to Orlando a couple of years ago. We really enjoyed it. I would in no way compare it to a Rainforest Cafe though, the atmosphere and theming are totally different. However, we really enjoyed the food and found the prices pretty reasonable.

We were at the one at crossroads several years ago. We were able to get a special 2 sandwiches with drinks for $12. We had a large choice for sandwiches. The kids enjoyed the tiny plastic mermaids on top of the drinks.

Last year they did not offer any special when I called so we did not go back.

It's been a couple of years since we went there. I believe I had a coupon from the mousesavers site. The waitress was great, food mediocre and the place was dirty.

We haven't been back since.

We were here this past December...in no way does it compare to Rainforest Cafe......and I didn't expect it too...I had done research on it and knew it was not comparable.

That being said, we enjoyed our visit. We all had various types of burgers....and they were good....the ony problem is you get so much food that we should have shared a burger and fries between us....the burgers were good..huge and done well.

We also had good service. We would definately go back.

If you like burgers served in all kinds of crazy ways, you might like this place. It is kind of cheezy in there. There is not enough theming in the restaurant to make it worth it just for that. I won't be going back.

We love Jungle Jim's. We go to Orlando 3 times a year and go at least once each time. Have never had bad service. We like the Spudmania appetizer and I usually have the French Dip. The kids like the little animals, in fact, the waiter brought us a cup full when we asked. It's definitely not the best restaurant in the area but its fun and now a tradition for us.

I see that you are going in September. We'll be back by then and if we don't go there (which I don't plan on) I will mail you the one from the Ent Book. Pm me with your addy.
