Got a question for all of you.

How much do these cost?? Do they take quarters, dollars, tokens??

If they take tokens, do they all use the same tokens?? For example, if they take tokens, could I pick up some tokens at the Ft. Wilderness Arcade ahead of time??

I know this is a strange question, but I'm attempting to do 44 attractions in the MK in 10 hours on Dec 4th and I want to make sure I have the exact funds I need for these on that day. I don't want to have to waste time looking for change or tokens. This will be my first park day for this trip, so I can't check myself ahead of time.

Thanks!!

Carol

I know the shooting gallery takes quarters and there is a bill change machine there. I think the boats also takes quarters.

Are you talking about Shrunken Ned's Junior Jungle Boats? If so they require a token. DH did them in October and I checked the Disney site and it also said token required.

Carol

I was thinking the same thing. We will check them out and get what we need ahead of time. I was planning on brining some quarters, specifically after reading the plan.

Hmmm...44 attractions in 10 hours.

Is this for the Guiness Book of World Records? That doesn';t sound that enjoyable to me....unless youare counting things like "see castle" as an attraction.

Actually, we'll have a great time!! Not sure if it will make Guinness, but if successful, we'll be in the Unofficial Guide to WDW!!

And for anybody interested, the attractions are:

Dumbo; Winnie the Pooh; Peter Pan; Space Mountain; Astro Orbiters; Tomorrowland Speedway; Buzz Lightyear; Splash Mountain; Big Thunder Mountain; Snow White; Small World; Mad Tea Party; Barnstormer; Mickey's House; Minnie's House; Donald's Boat; One Autograph in Toontown Hall of Fame; Swiss Family Treehouse; Jungle Cruise; Shrunken Ned's Boats; Tike Birds; Aladdin; Tom Sawyer Island; Timekeeper; Carousel of Progress; Tomorrowland Transit Authority; One arcade game in Tomorrowland Arcade; Hall of Presidents; Liberty Belle Riverboat; Mickey's Philharmagic; one of the Main Street Vehicles; Cinderella's Carousel; walk through Ariel's Grotto; Storytime with Belle; Cinderella's Surprise Celebration; Flag Retreat on Main Street; Behind the Magic Kiosks in Emporium; Goofy's Country Dancin Jamboree; Country Bear Jamboree; WDW Railroad; Frontierland Shootin' Arcade; Haunted Mansion; Pirates of the Caribbean; and the Afternoon Parade.

Hi Carol,

Yes, I know we will have a great time.

This is my sixth year in a row going to Disney World and there are a lot of rides/attractions on your list that I have never been to! (Not even sure what some of them are!)

I will add them on my list of things to do this January!:crazy2:

Hey folks!

Didn't see this thread until just now. Hey Carol and Scott! Shrunken Ned's takes tokens, which cost a buck each. There are dollar bill changers near the exit to Jungle Cruise. I find the Junior Jungle Boats to be inexplicably charming, having blown much of my per diem one day trying to navigate through all the obstacles. Just wish they were $0.25, not a buck.

Len

How much time do you get for your buck, Len? I just KNOW my boys will want to do that...they seem to find those things at every park we go to! (They have radar for the things that are not included in the admission price, I'm sure.)

Hi Len. Silly me to think quarters would work at WDW.:p

LOL Scott.

Hey jcemom, I've not actually timed it, but it's a good three or four minutes. It usually takes one round just to get the feel for the boats. The second time navigation is much more intuitive.

Len

I still think I'll just have about 5 dollars worth of quarters in my pocket. Cause if I had dollars, knowing my luck, I would waste 30 minutes trying to get the @#$%^% machine to take my dollar :-)

Carol

Thanks, Len! A couple dollars each and they should be fine, then!

I also have problems with those type of machines. $5.00 worth of quarters will require a good belt or suspenders. If not one could get really slowed down.

2 1/2 days till we leave, yes.......:bounce:

Stories Behind the Magic Kiosks are no longer in Expo Hall. They were only there for the 100 years of magic celebration.
If you plan to ride the Main St. Vehicles or a horse-drawn trolley, plan on making that one of your first attractions of the day. They generally don't run much beyond 1pm due to crowds and parade setup.

Actually, they'll be in a pocket of my hydration pack. Won't even notice they're there.

:-)
