Jungle Cruise World Premiere at Disneyland July 24

Based on pictures in the Dwayne Johnson twitter post, the premiere showing will be in the Fantasyland Theater.

I have not attended any of the prior DLR movie premieres (Pirates..., Lone Ranger, Tomorrowland), but likely the parade route (Main Street to Small World) will be the Red Carpet.

We booked a last minute trip this Saturday. Will this impact the parks a lot?

It likely will somewhat. For Pirates in Disneyland, the red carpet took out Main St. Sidewalks were open, but had people lining to see the stars who came out.

When Lone Ranger came out, I attended, and it was a lot of fun. The red carpet ran Buena Vista St and Hollywood Blvd to the Hyperion. I believe Carthay was blocked off as was the walkway to Guardians (TOT then.).

I would expect the area around the Fantasyland Theater to be closed off, as well as Toon Town. I don't know where they will do the red carpet, but there is a good chance it will be up Main St. using the parade route. Areas away from this area should be fine.

Tiki Room
Tropical Hideaway
Restrooms at Tiki/Bazaar will be restricted

No Fireworks, just projections for MMM

Partial Closures:
Jungle Cruise closed from 4pm
Casey Jr., Storybook and Disneyland Railroads all close at 8pm
It's a Small World and Mickey's Toontown has restricted access after 6pm

I'm guessing the Rock will be bringing his kids and they'll be touring those areas.

Thanks! It sounds like this might be kind of cool! We have hoppers and planned to spend the afternoon/evening in DCA but might want to stay to check this out!

My husband used to do some work for Disney special events. They do some crazy amazing stuff for premieres. They had part of Hollywood Blvd shut down for the premiere of Rogue One with to scale model of an X Wing fighter. When they did Solo they did the Millennium Falcon. For Toy Story 3 there was a carnival set up for fans who had special tickets. That is just the tip of the iceberg.

It won't be just the Rock, it will be all invited Disney guests. They will likely have something in Tiki Room for prepping for the event. To be honest, when we were invited for the Lone Ranger Premiere, I didn't know what to expect other than seeing the movie, but it really was a blast.
