After hours on end of playing, finally passing pirates and helping other friends make it too :grouphug: I've finally reached the Jungle Cruise part. The problem is, I am an average player and I make about 25,000 each game.

I read Dragon's tips and saw the video too,but they say nothing about steering, which I believe is my problem as I lose too much time working that out. Plus I can't have someone by my side as many have suggested so it's even more difficult.

I have made it this far and I want to win badly. Please send any tips my way!!:worship:

I am not great at Jungle Cruise but I managed to squeak past. Don't overthink the steering. Spot the film and gas cannister and rocks and try to line up (gas first, film second). Focus mainly on getting those pictures. I just let the little boat drift forward (never rush forward). When I am just past the halfway point, depending on level and how many animals, I'll gently back up in short bursts to get all animals. This can be tricky to time out so you don't waste too much gas. Never rush into next room. Even if all animals are shot, just let boat go at own speed. You use less gas that way.

One good thing is that the animals appear in same spots and patterns. As you go through, try to get a feel for those patterns. It is different each round but I find if I overthink it, I do less well. Hope this helps and good luck.

If you are worried about steering, you can hang back near the room entrance and just focus on the animals. I keep one hand on the reverse key (my left hand) and focus on the animals popping out. I only need to do this in a few rooms where the rocks prove tricky.

As the animals show up, i let the boat advance a little at a time so I can stay focused on the task. Reversing does not lose you gas. Remember to never ever speed up.

I'm not a great jungle cruise player, but after sticking with it last night, I got it. It just all of the sudden hit me what I needed to do. I didn't think I could use the down arrow key to stay in the rooms longer and get more animals.

What I usually try to do is focus on where the film and gas is and try to go down there in a straight line. I find in many rooms, once I pick my spot, I don't need the left and right arrows at all.

And don't use that up arrow key at all.

Some of the room have animals pop up late in the 2nd and 3rd round, so hold back late for a few minutes.

Keep at it. You can do it :)

yes I think a good strategy is to use the back up button and stay in the rooms a little longer but you have to be careful not to use up to much gas. I was scoring around 38k at the max then started using the back up and within four or five games I was over 45k.

Like the others said, don't be afraid to keep backing up. With all of the lag lately, those dratted animals are taking forever to pop up and I'm having to use it half the time in each room almost. And, I really haven't noticed much loss of gas either.:)
And, as you get in the room definitely notice the rock layout.
Some rooms you can pretty much go straight down the middle, but others you need to scoot over soon.;)
Also don't be afraid you let your boat skim down the bank or dock once it reaches there. If it gets there naturally it doesn't use gas. It only does that if you hit it while moving your boat.
Good luck with it!

in the first round you shouldnt have to back up too much as there is only one "wave" of animals maybe just a tap or 2.
In the 2nd and 3rd round there are 2 "Waves" of animals
1 set then a pause and another set.
what I do is remember which animal pops up last on each room in each level so I know it is safe to move forward and that I have gotten them all.
try not to let your gas go under 150
on tricky rock spots or tight places if you fix your boat JUST RIGHT and dont touch the keys it will manuver around some objects instead of crashing into them

I went from about 19,000 to 45,000 in a couple of hours using all of these tips. They work, but it can take a few tries. Don't get discouraged!! :yay:

One extra thing too, if you have gotten to the last round and are about two or three rooms from the end and have finally gotten the hang of avoiding the rocks, if you have about 150 or so in gas you should not need anymore gas. Don't waste time on it! That should get you through to the end room.

Watch your gas. I was within 500 points about 5 times when I ran out of gas. Make sure you get the gas that you can so you don't get "almost there" and run out. You can do it!

I was with in 30 points of passing once and 150 another time. I too am an average player with about 30,000 points each time. I found a way to pass.

First I never use up like others said. Then I dont bother sailing through the scene until I am finished with the animal picture taking. What this does is free me up to concentrate on getting more pictures with awesome and good scores. I just keep clicking the back arrow until the animals/pictures are done. This not only allows me to concentrate better I found a few animals pop up after you think your done too in a few scenes. I never knew this in the past. Then when i finished round 1 I had 15,000 points, after round two i was about 30,000 points. When i finally won I had one last animal the hippo in round three last screen. It gave me enough points to pass with 45,060. Talk about close shave lol.

Oh my! After two tries I got 42567 :sad2:

So close..I'm still trying!

Your tips rock guys:goodvibes

Send positive thoughts my way!

Another thought is to have somebody help you at your computer. They steer, and you shoot.

I finally made it!! I finished the q!:dance3:

Thank you all for your tips, you are lovely! :disrocks:

I now go help some more friends!! :woohoo:
