I posted this a while back but only got like one person who was interested so thought I'd post again! I am organizing a Y.E.S. group for sometime during June 5 through 10, 2011. (That's when we'll be there.) We need a total of 10 kids. We have 3 and I have someone else on the boards interested who has 2 kids. So we really just need 5 more!! As soon as I have 10 kids lined up, then we can nail down the class and date.

So post here or message me if you are interested and going to be at WDW any time between June 5 and 10. And let me know your kids' ages. Our kids will be 9, 11 and 12 at the time (completed 3rd, 5th and 6th grades).

Our kids did this back in March and had a BLAST! And of course, the CHEAP park tickets are an added BONUS!! (They are about HALF the regular price!!)

I have two children ages 9 and 16! Definitely interested! Let me know what you find! Be there same dates!

Just wondering if you know that open enrollment starts a few days after your trip. With open enrollment, everyone in your party would get discount tickets instead of just one adult per party when you make your own group. Your dates may not be flexible, but if they are, it could be worth the savings.

We did this in March and was allowed to buy 1 adult ticket for every child enrolled in the class. Has this changed? Reading other posts that have put together their own classes it seems to be 1 adult ticket per child in class.

Sorry, I misspoke. You can get one ticket per child enrolled. It would work the same as open enrollment for someone who has the same or fewer adults than children attending the class in your party. If you have more adults(or older teenagers) than children attending the class, you would have to pay full price for their tickets.

My parents may be going with us this year, along with my sister and her family. If we made our own group(with others), we would get six discount tickets(3 kid, 3 adult), but would have to pay full price for the other 3 adult tickets. If we do open enrollment, we would get all 9 tickets for the discounted price. So, it could be a big difference in cost for someone to wait a few days. Doesn't sound like it in your case though.

Yep, I did notice that, but our dates really aren't flexible. We are DVC members, and points go up starting 6/10, hence why we are leaving as soon as the kids get out of school and will be there 6/5 - 6/10. ;)

Excellent! The classes I've found that offer the broadest age range to cover all of our kids are:

World of Physicians Property in Motion at MK ages 8-18
The American Story at MK ages 8-18
Animation Magic ages 8-18
Energy & Waves at MK ages 8-18

Our kids will be 9, 11, 12 and 16. The 16-yo will also be bringing a friend. So there's 5 just with us and your 2 makes 7, so we just need 3 more kids! Another DIS'er had responded earlier that she was interested also, but her kids are too young to get all of us in the same age group.

Also, what we did when our kids took the class (at EPCOT), is we took all of their tickets and gathered fast passes while they were in the class, then rode the rides with fast passes when they were finished. :thumbsup2 It was also nice to have a little park time with just me and DH for a few hours. ;)

You can go to the Disney Y.E.S. site and get more info on all the classes.

BTW... the last time we only had the 3 younger kids doing the class. The teenagers might fight us on doing the class, but not so much when we explain the benefit of cheap tickets.... and although they might THINK they don't want to do it, I know they will enjoy the class. It will be even better knowing there will be at least ONE other their age also instead of just grouped with a bunch of little kids. ;)
