So I'm back on the Theme Park boards after a year of doing the Cruise Boards. I am planning our very first summer visit to WDW since my oldest is now in high school, and going over a vacation period is not an option for us. I'm looking at either the third week in June (June 17) or the third week in August (August 18) for a week-long trip. The June trip will eat up more DVC points than the August trip. What are the lines like in late August? Is it that much hotter than June is better choice? Thank you for all your help for those that have been there, done that.

I am very curious as well. We have a 9 and a 5. We have been taking them out of school and almost can't do that anymore.

I would opt for the August trip. We have been in June, right around Father's Day and it was brutally hot/humid. The lines were long, we vowed never to go at that time again. We have been twice the third week in August now and will be booking around the same time for this coming August. Yes, it's hot/humid. But, the crowds just aren't as bad in mid-Aug. So, we are back to going then, and hoping for a calm hurricane season. Especially since we'll be following up our 5 nights at BWV with 4 nights on the Wonder!!!
