June/July AP holders - would you change your resort for an AP rate?

We're booked YC waterview June 28-July 5 and Poly gv July 5-12. Still hoping for an AP rate (although the free dining announced this week gives me the heebie jeebies!).

If a good AP rate came out at a different resort than you are booked at would you change? I know we would - I keep telling the kids don't count on YC and the Poly if better rates come out at say GF or BWI.

What about the rest of you - resort set in stone or willing to move?

BTW I checked availability for our dates June 28-July 12 and the only deluxe with no availability was CR, so still hoping AP rates might come out!

I am hoping for an ap rate for June 23-30. I am booked at Beach Club right now but I have friends at Port Orleans and yes I wanted to change. If I can get an AP rate I will change. Does anyone know if they had summer ap rates last year?

I am booked at CBR for June 29-July 7. I would definitely change resorts for an AP rate. Not sure if I would upgrade unless that is the only offer like last summer was. If it meant that I was paying the same price as current ressies then I would.

They did have some limited AP rates last summer. I remember they had YC/BC and BWI and OKW and SSR. Rates (as far as I can remember) were $179 for standard view or DVC studio and $269 for waterview of DVC 1 bedroom.

I am so all over the place. We just got hit with big ($5000 worth) unexpected dental bills. I'm hoping for an AP rate but seriously considering switching to the Swan or doing a mod/deluxe split. Hope we here something soon!

We are booked for August at CSR.
The only way I would change would be to a Deluxe and the rate would have to be equal to what we are paying at the Mod now.

I am being very flexible with my resort choice for this trip. Our dates are July 8-16. I'm hoping for a good discount at any deluxe.

We changed our resort last year when those limited AP rates were announced. We had originally booked BWV and CR (got the AAA rate on both) but when they released the AP rates, we switched BWV to BWI instead. Dh suggested either making it for our entire trip or moving over to YC or BC (to get the discount there too) but we decided to stick it out with CR since it's our favorite.

Now this year it doesn't look like we'll be go in the summer, but in the fall (most likely October is what we're thinking) yet I'm holding out hope that dh will have a change of heart and want to go in the summer too. :)

No way! DD has her heart set on WL, so if they don't release AP rates for it we'll just keep our AAA package.

If I could convince DD13 to change I will.

She really wants AKL (1st time) but also loves POLY like me.

If not, I will upgrade our view.

Getting an AP discount requires flexibility! So if you're flexible your chances are greater. Remember, there were no AP discounts last June and July at any of the MK Resorts or monorail resorts and none at the values and moderates. Unless attendance is way down, I would be booking something that you plan to pay for at full price and hope that this year will be different--but something tells me that attendance is higher than last year even. Good luck!
